I just checked out Mayweather on Joe Buck Live.

Personally, I consider myself a fan of PBF. I enjoyed watching him school DLH and Hatton mainly because I enjoy boxing. But I'm also a Pacman fan. In general I just love great fights.
But after seeing Floyd respond to this boxing fans question. I wouldn't mind seeing Pacman put Floyd on his ass numerously.
Yea, the guy probably asked a really dumb question. But Floyd's response got on my nerves ...

This interview kinda shows that Football players have a lot of class and set the example for a lot of other athletes. I guess it's the team mentality and it carries over off the field too.
Mayweather did better though in this interview compared to some of his other interviews.
He is a great fighter but not the best talker. I guess not everyone can talk trash with some humor the way Ali did back in the day. OR even Appollo Creed style.
"You fight great but I'm a great fighter."
People hated Ali back then and just in recent memories people tend to forget all wrong things he did and all of his close fights ... etc
He was more epic for standing against the Vietnam war
Great point.
I think the NFL community has tons of class and they actually try to get positive messages out there. I guess that message is "You Gotta Be Hungry!"
You're right man. I mean the NFL gets national coverage all over the country. It would look bad for their part if one of their players talked the way Floyd talks. And that's a a good image to spread. Be competitive, but not extremely arrogant/cocky. I guess that's why my fav athletes are Pac, Eli Manning, Jeter, Lee amongst others. Just classy.
Good point there. I didn't see that. Now I'm truly sure Strahan thinks and WANTS Manny to beat Floyd Mayweather (don't care if he's a brother lol). Undefeated means SQUAT. If you face the one who wants it more than you, it's a wrap. And that's the same as Giants vs Patriots 2008. If there was one team to give New England a lost, it was the red hot Giants that time. And the rest is history....
Manny is the Giants, Floyd is the Pats. Go MANNY!
Great point.

Anybody else find the parallels just a little funny? On one side you have Floyd going on about having an undefeated record and uses it to show his superiority over fighters who have losses. Then on the other side you have Michael Strahan and Joe Buck going on about the undefeated Patriots losing to the Giants who started off terribly.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. A loss doesn't make you a loser in the long run. I think since Mayweather had the Gold stolen from him at the Olympics ... winning at all costs is his number one priority.
Maybe he would have taken more chances if that never happenned to him.

no, not at all ...your missin the point ..... i dont think he said anything wrong but the way he worded his statements seems kinda arrogant to some.......anyway it aint a big deal really.....
can't we all just get along ...
i hope the fight ends in a draw just so everyone is happy ..
they knock each other out at round 10 and neither one gets up...
is that a loss for both of them? or a win?
I don't get it. I just went through the whole 21 minutes of this, keeping my eyes and ears opened to see what is it that Floyd had done wrong this time and I was amazed at how sensitive some people can be. He said absolutely nothing wrong. That was like the calmest that I have ever seen Floyd.
Wow.
How is winning a razor thin decision considered "schooling"?
I scored it 8-4 Mayweather.
I don't count DLH punches to Floyds hips.
But I got Floyd losing to Castillo.
And Zab knocking him down once. I saw it as a KD. not the ref though.
I got Manny beating Floyd by scoring more knockdowns.
But it will go twelve full rounds.

It doesn't matter. Floyd is a great fighter and he donates to charity. Manny fights great and he helps his country. Neither are the best for interviews. Both guys have ready made answers that don't entertain or even answer the specific question. The case is more for Floyd though.
I just figure if I'm gonna watch TV or check out videos, then I should be entertained. I deserve it. I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And doggonit...people like me.
:haha::haha:
Floyd was calm on that show. What amazed is mike. Man he is praising Floyd but for sure it was a double edge praised. Just my 2 cent..
what did he say that made it double edged?

I'm not mad.
Why get mad? They aren't paying us.
Why should I get mad or ecstatic.
Floyd did totally dodge some of the questions.
Or he comes up with an answer irrelevant to the question.[/QUOTE
He sorta embarassed or tried to embarass the Filipino guy.
I don't get it. What are you mad about?
Which particular question ticked you off?

Well lets be fair though, people throw alot of jabs at Floyd so that is going to piss him off. He gets a ton of hate from alot of people so that already makes hm defensive. All the writers piss on him, Roach does, and now Pac is. He's not going to be nice or witty with his comebacks. He's going to throw darts just like they throw at him but like he said, in that ring its only going to be him & Pac and that will decide everything
