Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao will undergo extreme Blood Tests - Contract Clause
By Johnny Benz (Dec 11, 2009)
The deal which will pit Floyd Mayweather Jr. against Manny Pacquiao on March 13th of 2010 is almost set. According to a report out by ESPN, one thing that has been agreed on is that both fighters in their run up to the mega event will be subjected to Olympic-style drug testing. Chances of either fighter using a steroid or illegal substance are pretty much slim now.
According to the report, both Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao have agreed in the contract to a clause in which both of
them will undergo drug testing Olympic-style.
n the past, Pacquiao has been accused by Floyd Mayweather Sr. (Floyd Jr's father) of using some type performance enhancement. The accusation came even after the fact that Pacquiao has never failed any drug tests that would have proved he had ****ed his blood or system with a performance enhancing drug or chemical.
Further according to the report, both Mayweather Jr. and Pacquiao will be subjected to numerous tests (not just a single test). These tests will include blood testing and will happen during the run up to their fight. Blood samples taken from both fighters will be analyzed by the U.S. Olympic testing center at UCLA. Neither fighter will have blood expelled from thier body on the week of the fight.
No, Paulie's the "Magic" man. Manny is the "Pacman-Fighting-Machine" ala Terminator. Floyd and Manny both train hard don't get me wrong. It's just that the Pacman is an "All-Natural" Super Athlete unlike others. JAT
Some would say like myself Floyd is "All Natural" Super Athlete unlike others :dunno:
Noone thought Margarito cheated until he got caught. How would pac or Floyd be viewed if one of them indeed was found to be using steroids???? Would you still view their wins as wins??? Just curious.
No he didnt,
It was another stupid catchweight?
Dont matter anyway he would of whopped Marquez either way
the catchweight was in the contract. floyd cheated jmm.
I don't deny that floyd would've still beaten jmm, but the fact is he still cheated.
floyd needs to actually make weight, he cheated jmm.
No he didnt,

He didn't stated it that way, he stated that Manny is fighting at 145lbs, he didn't mentioned anything about limiting Cotto to 145lbs that he had agreed to because he did say he normally weighs around that much anyway.
Manny needs to stop with the catchweight bullshit
no..you dont get it..the insult is telling the ww champ he CANT WEIGHT 147

Pactard like to think people accuse Manny of steroids because of his power,
but its due to his ability to move up weight in the way he does and still keep lean muscle mass....
Pactards dont know the first thing about steroids
By your assertion--that would mean Pacquiao has been doing roids since 2004 with a weigh-in pic of him when he faced Juan Manuel Marquez, and as far back as Ledwaba; he looked the same there too. There must have been another version of "The Clear" that Balco made.
The rest of the world already knows it's coming from his fathers' crack pipe. Come on, Floyd, catch up already.
If your so confident In Manny beating Floyd how come you have none of your Precious E-Points on him beating Floyd?
if its Natural power than whats the problem? I don't see anything wrong with this...the guy is a bit suspicious, so what?

haha, floyd looks like an insecure little girl with this. He's admitting Manny has undeniable power. Once the tests show up clean he'll have to admit Manny is naturally powerful. Notice how no one is accusing floyd of roids, is he jealous?

NEW EXCLUSIVE: ROACH SPEAKS ON STEROIDS ISSUE
If Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the proposed date of March 13th becomes official, both fighters will have to undergo rigorous drug testing leading up to the fight. According to report by ESPN, part of the contract has both sides agreeing to be subjected to Olympic-style drug testing that will include blood tests. The tests conducted on each fighter's blood samples will thoroughly be tested for steroids and other performance enhancing drugs or chemicals.
The blood samples will be tested at the U.S. Olympic testing center at UCLA, and each fighter will be subjected to more than one drug test over the weeks leading up to the event. Blood tests will stop one week before the fight.
According to ESPN's report, team Mayweather wanted the Olympic style drug testing clause added to the contract.
The highly respected and talented trainer for Pacquiao, Freddie Roach was quoted by the publication in regards to the drug tests being a stipulation in the contract. Roach stated: "Mayweather's side wanted it because the expert over there, Mayweather Sr., says Manny is on steroids to get bigger." Roach is certain that he and his fighter Pacquiao (who has already passed every drug test in his career so far) have nothing to hide. "I have no problem with the testing whatsoever," stated Roach.
Roach knows that his star pupil Pacquiao will pass the drug and blood tests with flying colors and feels that Mayweather's side is scared of Pacquiao and his power. "They can do whatever kind of drug testing they want," stated Roach to ESPN, adding: "They're scared of Manny and scared of his power. He'll pass any test in the world."
Chances of any illegal substances being found in the blood or urine samples of both fighters are slim... considering the rigorous testing they will be put through, sneaking some type of steroid or enhancement will be next to impossible and stupid to even try.
Neither Pacquiao or Mayweather have ever failed drug testing in the past.
The rest of the world already knows it's coming from his fathers' crack pipe. Come on, Floyd, catch up already.
Your Posts have gone down hill so much,
such a shame
manny just gots better muscular genetics than floyd and most fighters kinda like a bruce lee piseque thats why he has that punching power and he knows that test is good for showcasing his genetics and his pinoy power!
I don't think this is a spiteful move on Mayweather's behalf, he just wants to make sure that the smoke definitely isn't coming from a fire.

hahahahaha.....ye mate i bet you wont be saying that when your dying
Swine flu is no different to any other flu. The only people seriously affected are very old or very young babies who haven't developed a good immune system. I never fell for the swine flu propaganda. It's no different to the 1976 swine flu scare in which millions were supposed to die. What actually happened? One person died! More people fell ill because of the the "immunization" shot and are now in wheelchairs for the rest of their days.
Swine flu = scaremongering. Next year it'll be something else, same as every other year.

Hahaha... thanks. I try to keep my replies fun and enjoyable without being so obnoxious and scathing like some of the posts that I read. JAT
Kool, there is nothing wrong with that. I don't mind your posts at all. Do your think :boxing:
SG,
There have been no rumours about Floyd, Jr doing steroids. Malignaggi, Cintron, Berto and DiBella have not said anything about Floyd being dirty. They did talk, however, about Manny abusing steroids.
So, when the casual fan hears about steroid testing in this fight, they link it to Manny.
This move by the Mayweathers will spread the suspicions about Manny. Team Pac had no choice but to accept. How would it look it they refused? What would people say then?
Yeah, but at the end of the day it's better to fuel suspicion, that would probably be forgotten with time, than to outright prove you're on performance enhancers.
He did have a choice. If he was on steroids, he could have said he didn't want to get tested "extremely," because he has always tested negative, and that he is a victim of slander.
