119-110, what can be done?

Not much to be done. Just boxing being boxing. Main thing is that the score didn't really change anything. I'm not a Paul Williams fan, and I woulda loved to see Martinez take that decision, but Paul Williams had won that fight regardless of how skewed that one score was. Unless that Judge was replaced by one that saw Martinez as winning the best Martinez could do is a draw. I woulda have preferred a draw, but I won't take away from Williams' win because of one lousy judge giving a score that didn't change the outcome. Rematch!

Basically what you're saying is that you don't agree with this particular score card but you are ok with true robberies like Froch vs Dirrell where Froch did absolutely nothing but come forward, scored with an accuracy around 4% and still won. Had Williams won that way (a true robbery) I'm sure people around NSB would petition for death penalties in sports. I didn't say I support a decision in either way. It's not about individual fighters getting hometown points. These are potential imbeciles judging fights. How do they qualify judges? Would open scoring resolve this? Is there anything the public can do to respond to the disgraceful judging that we've seen over the last month? Where can we complain? With so many sanctioning bodies, would it amount to anything? Sadly I don't think there's much we can do...This happens time and time again. Personally I'd like to beat the shit out of that asshole for hurting the sport that I love!!

goddamn im so pissed off about this fight, icannot believe that 119-110 score..that's just ludicrous. shameful at its best...man poor martinez he performed so well and got stolen. but you know hat, if i was martinez, i'd be glad knowing that you did 5 times better than the way they scored.
