yea i was disappointed when i found out how heavy he was i actually thought he might come back stronger, but not everyone is fit to be a boxing champion arreola has only shown that he is a fighter..
He is fortunate he has one hell of a chin, otherwise he would have been ko'd a few times, he gets tagged way to easy.
If he wants to be serious, he should be 225-230...
No, and I think his potential is even lower than before. He is trying to fight with a strategy more so now. But, his trainer said they have to fight with him in camp, and made it seem like it had to do with weight and discipline. I think Arreola has a dedication issue.
I respect him even more for half-assing it and getting away with it.
That takes natural talent.
Any dope could work like a fool just to lose.
I always respect the guys, that half ass it and still win.
Amusing post J, lol...green k incoming.
I was down on Arreola previous to the Klitschko fight. Thought he was grossly overrated. But I admit Chris impressed me in that bout. He did good last night, even better than I thought he would. I still don't consider him a top 5 heavyweight, but with todays crop of big guys he is up there somewhere, time will tell.
Tua looked better than he has in years in his last fight against Cameron.
He came in trim.
Arreola likes to eat, he gets hungry. Still knocked mofos out.
He could probably never beat the Klitschkos even if he was buff and 230.
tua is planning to fight bruce seldon next , friday ahunanya in march and another fighter by june.
the level of competition is not top 10-20 but at least he's trying to stay active.
a couple more knockouts and he might get a big fight.
He's always going to be a fat slob.. couldn't get in decent shape for the biggest fight of hes life against Vitali.. and for a world championship belt that most boxers only dream to get a shot at... never alone actually winning it..
Arreola just doesn't have the right attitude kind of reminds me of a little kid.. he says he drinks beer because Michael Phelps can smoke weed and still be great.. But Arreola doesn't realise he ain't no Michael Phelps.. and unless your extremely talented you are going to have to make the sacrifices and work your ass off to give yourself the best chance of winning.
The fat ass whinges about beer and the food.. when he's a ****ing heavyweight who doesn't even need to make the weight.. what does he think the lower weights guys go through drying themself to skin and bone and not being able to eat just so they can make weight..
But I don't know if i was given the chances he got id make the most out of it.. and make sure im at the best i could possibly be.
^^^Agreed. Pre-fight interview he says he doesn't train or eat right like he should, he wieghed 40lb's or so more than the other guy who wasn't much more competition than a freakin' punching bag, i don't like the fat slob, got no respect for him, other than he'll step in the ring against a klit bro. That takes balls, fat or not. I'll watch him fight again, if I'm bored.
fat , old , past prime tua sparks him and tua never even won a title.
unless he wins a vacant title against a weak contender , he's not gonna be a champion.
entertaining to watch and a good guy though.
I wasn't. I think the only way he becomes a champion, is when the klit bros retire.
he needs motivation and dedication

I wasn't, he tried to box, but it wasn't as effective as his usual pressure style.
He looked awkward and wasn't too effective standing up straight jabbing and trying to box. My expectations of him have dropped, but I still think he could beat most top 10 contenders.
Wasn't impressed at all. I think he's reached the highest point of his career already, and that was fighting Vitali.
cosign. he's a strong puncher, but i've never watched him fight and thought he was anything special.
c- fighter that only gets shine, b/c the HW division is horrendous at this point.
