How does it look to you?
Its getting a lot better for sure, with names like Barrera, Kotelnik and Salita on it. I know Salita's not the greatest fighter, but someone with a recored of 30 wins with no defeats cant be that bad, despite not having a notable name on there (apart from maybe Rocky Martinez?)
When he was fighting for the commonwealth titles, he was fighting people who were experienced, like Gary St. Clair and Willie Limond - and I know they're not household names but when they've barely lost they are good fights for someone at Khan's stage in his career when he fought them.
The he fought Prescott, who he got KTFO'd against, but went on to beat Barrera just two fights after. Now I know Barrera was cut and is old, but Khan still looked good in defeating him.
Then Kotelnik, who he comfortably beat, and then went onto to dispatch Salita.
I'm not a Khan nuthugger, in fact I thought he'd lose to Barrera, but I don't think its as padded as many say.
As for what's next, I'd like a fight with either Maidana or Marquez. Marquez would be a great technical fight, and he'd get great advice from Pacquiao, and with Maidana he'd have to be very careful but, I think he's far too skilled to beat him.
I don't like Khan, at all.. But for a 22 year old, he's got a decent resume.
very good for a 22-year-old.
He will probably fight either Diaz or Malignaggi next I feel. He'd KO both of them and they don't crack to hard.
I assume his next fight is a voluntary, so his test again a relentless banger is coming in Maidana in his next mandatory
at that point in Khan's career they wer pretty good fights.
ive read loads of your comments about Khan, some racist and some just point blank ignorant. your full of crap, im just gonig to ignore you from now onRacist?
WTF?
Khan hasn't got a good resume compaitred to 99% of present world champions FACT!
Oh and for the record of my 5 favourite british figthers 3 ARE NOT WHITE and one is a muslim you dickweed.
Warren still won’t put him in with a puncher, or someone who goes on the attack,
Carefully selected opponents that’s the name of the game, we all know as soon as he gets in with someone who can punch and take a punch its lights out for Khan, the Barrera fight was a force, Barrera was fighting way above his fighting weight, and way past his sell by date, yeah his record looks good until you see who he beat, and who gave him trouble,
This is what he's been saying in the US
WBA super lightweight champion Amir Khan has lashed out at his British detractors. “I can only say that sometimes skin color does make a difference,” stated Khan, who is of Paskistani decent. “I know for a fact if I were a white English fighter maybe I would have been a superstar in Britain, and the world.” He added, “In America they treat me like God!”
Gomez is a featherweight at best, Limmond is a featherfisted nobody, Barerra was shot 3 years ago and thats being conservative, St Clair was coming off 2 losses from 3 at Superfeather.
Do you know ANYTHING about boxing? sheesh.

For a 22 year old british fighter it has to be on par if not better than Naz's resume, Hatton has to have the worst record even at 26 years old, Calzaghe's isnt that much at the same age, And Haye was still a novice at 22 so go figure.
Naz's resume wasn't that good, Hatton's was crap until he fought Tszyu, Maussa, Urango etc..
Khan's resume is pretty decent for a 22 y.o. Graham Earl, Willie Limond, Barrera (over the hill though), Kotelnik (people don't give him enough credit for beating Maidana), and now Salita (who was more sheltered than Khan, but nevertheless 30-0-1 is a good record).

Names wise it's ok for his age. For a titlist it's shit, though.
If you look past the names and take note of how he had the absolute SHIT caned out of him by a guy who's gone on to be incredibly limited and pretty awful, struggled against significantly older fighters who spent their careers one or two weight classes below him, his dull-as-dishwater title-fight against a guy even he named as "the worst champion ever", and how he's struggled and been decked against some of the aforementioned people even with his massive height, reach, speed and home-town/referee advantages, it suffers even more.
He's certainly on the up, but thus far I am really not impressed with him.
If Khan fights at 140 for the first time for a world title trying to bang and loses, then he still gets no credit but abuse. Also he has no title.
Prescott was a shit fight fohim but it has been a blessing.
As for the past fights, he was inexperienced vs guys who had it, and ofcourse flaws show. His skills may be above them but for being so young, you do make mistakes. He also was with a trainer who isn't great as freddie is. Right now he beats everyone he has fought but much worse, including Prescott.
A good coach makes a big difference. Every top sports team pays good money for good coaches and managers.
At 140 he seems comfortable making weight.

hattons record is'nt that bad
For a 22 year old it's ok.
For a world champion its very poor.
He has 2 good wins on his resume, Kotelnik and Graham Earl.
It will get better and hopefully it won't be long before he jumps ship to Bob Arum.

To be fair - Kristjansen, Barrera, Gomez, Fagan >>>> Earl

Agree, but maybe I'd like to see him go to Golden Boy.
The kid is 22 how can anyone call his record padded? What 22 yr old fighters are out there with better resumes?
I was never convinced that Khan was going to be a world beater, and the Prescott fight seemed to confirm that, but credit where it's due, he has done everything asked of him since and done it well. Maybe he will develop into a genuine world class fighter, he seems to be doing everything right at the moment.
