Maybe Martinez should go to the hood to train if a rematch ever materializes. That way he can give it that extra "umph" in the latter rounds this time around.
It was a draw to me! Martinez clearly landed the bigger punches; he suprised me!
i want a rematch!
PW whiskers were tested. :omfg: Martinez just a bit too sporadic. imho
I scored it a draw 4 what its worth. Suprised how Martinez baited PW with his hands by his knees and Williams couldnt set up something big.
Great fight
I'm going to hazard a guess that Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina, is rougher and more "street", than the home of Paul Williams.
Hell, you can make a claim the ocean front resorts in Brazil are more dangerous then Williams hometown.
I thought that was dumb racism and by that I mean that it wasnt intentional but in a ton of sports, people will call whites or Euro's soft compared to blacks. They just assume that they will fold under pressure and are weaker mentally then the black street kids. Again, not intentional but thats just how alot of people think
paul williams aint no gangsta he ran out of the hood as soon as the money came in..lol he's a square but a good fighter
Lmfao The fact that what you described is your basis for your opinion along with really believing that these are enormous hardships, the likes of which nobody on earth has endured, leads me to conclude that you're a 14 yr old who listens to too much rap music.
lol America has the greatest hardships on earth, jesus. Go live in Cambodia, Colombia, or Angola.
He gave me the same impression. Maybe he's Emanuel's son talking the way he was.
Did he have to deal with police harassment/brutality just for the color of his skin
did he have to deal with his government not giving a damn about him due to the color of his skin
is hard to understand where i am coming from if you not black
i know how it growing up in this country is not easy

I think it means, Steward is jealous of Martinez's looks and figures he's a pretty boy that aint' tough enough when need to be. Yet, he has no idea what Martinez really was about. Steward does that often. You just have to see how it plays out because Steward generally will make a 360 degree switch on what he says in the first half of the fight.
It's crazy how Jim Lampley didn't even attempt to clean it up. He left Emanuel on his own with that one. He usually always bails them out with his extensive vocabulary.
im saying they have underrated toughness and that they are one of the toughest
there is a lot of tough ppl from eastern europe and mexico, not only black ppl have a lot of tough guys.
If I wanted to breed a perfect boxers Id get athletes- one African American one Ukrainian to make a a set of kids, and get a cuban to mate with mexican to make another set,
then the two sets make more kids after they grown up of course would be a good experiment but id probably die before i witnesses the results
Are you kidding me?
no i am not when was the last time an african american quit
when everybody talks about black fighters they dont mentioned there underrated toughness black fighters are very tough you hardly see them quit they could be dying and still go forward of course you have the exceptions but but they are tough and you do not see them quit
the reason is growing up in this country and deal with every thing like throws at you due to the color of you skin makes you tough
