I think Pacquiao is making a mistake. He needs two extra months to recover and prepare properly, then there could be no excuses. March = too early. May = would be fine.
Recover from what? No disrespect, but you act as if Pacquiao took the beating Sam. Yeah he took some hard shots but nothing he has to "rest" from. Pac was fine after the fight and he'll be ready in March. Pacquiao took more punishment against Marquez and he came back OK.
I don't know why people keep bringing Pac being able to fight Foreman in March but not Mayweather. There is no logic there. Foreman is no Mayweather. Pac would be ready to fight someone like Foreman in March, that doesn't mean hes going to be ready to fight someone like Mayweather.
So the next logical question is..why did Roach come out public that May didn't want to fight in March?
and why did Manny agree to fight in March?
IMO, he agreed because he is a champion and this is the fight that he has said he wants and then retire.

not exactly lied about march... yup, i think they were thinking of another opponent since they would want Pac to fight a lesser opponent because it should basically be a promotional fight for the elections. I know Yuri Foreman was a joke but Manny getting an 8th division title should have been news still. As the old saying goes, there is no such thing as bad publicity.
so then you are telling me that him fighting Foreman instead of Mayweather would have been justifiable?
Election promo, eh? If he beat Mayweather in March, that would SEAL his election IMO!!!!!!!
OK, since we are obviously believing all things that the media are blurting out, then it should be pointed out that Team May have expressed that it is March or bust. Arum made it public but isn't it obvious that it was proposed by Team May before they reached the agreement? I am blaming Arum partly for pushing the March date but Team May jumping into the opportunity is a good, but somehow dirty, tactic.
And again, Roach said they wanted to fight in March but probably not against Floyd. Floyd jumped at the opportunity. Floyd jumps at every opportunity now to make himself look good.
I don't get it bro. you sound confused, no offense. How is it good that May jumped at the opportunity but somehow dirty? Hasn't the media and a large majority of fans complained about how he DOESN'T fight this guy or that guy when the opportunity comes his way? help me out here.
Also, after the Cotto fight, Roach AND Manny clearly said that they wanted Mayweather NEXT. How is Floyd wrong for accepting to fight Manny....NEXT??
what's her name?

Don't know but since the watermark in the corner says "RealityKings.com," you are in luck. That means she got boned for your viewing pleasure lol.
He'll LOSE...
...no time to recover from cottos fight and training before and not enough time to train for Mayweathers style... What you guys think?
I was hesitant at first coz the recovery and the preparation time is too short. But Manny knows himself better than anyone else, if he thinks his capable of beating Floyd in that amount of time. Then we know and everyone knows that he got "BIG BALLS" for accepting the fight in that span of time since the Cotto fight. And freddie has the idea to beat Floyd. I just hope they can finalize this fight already to see Manny whoopes Moneyweather A$$.:boxing:
I hear what dome of you are saying that 8 weeks is enough.. But he's up against a fighter (love him or hate him) with one of the best defenses ever, I would think he'd need longer to prepare not just hard training, but prepare for mayweather

sounds like an early excuse to me lol
Dude, you read the post. Floyd wanting some leverage was a clear statement that he and his pops and uncle were. I understand that Team Pac mentioned March 13 but Roach also mentioned that March is too early for Pac to face May because he wanted Manny to rest some more.
You guys are quick to type in 'idiot', very typical here in BS, can't really argue without saying 'idiot' or 'stupid'. Classic.
so you are saying that Roach lied about the March date then?
or are you saying that Manny could have fought SOMEONE ELSE on the March date?
just trying to understand your thinking sir.
Did I say May stupid? Manny's camp initially wanted it after the elections. Floyd jumped at the March 13 date because everybody knows Manny isn't rested enough yet. Floyd took 2 more months to fight a smaller JMM because of a supposed 'rib injury' and now that Pac has an obvious ear injury (haters need to stop saying 'Doc's said it wasn't serious'), nobody is giving him enough time to heal. But the warrior that he is, he still accepted the fight even with a handicap. So I say it again, Floyd wants some leverage to fight Manny because his whole clan is still shocked and shaken by the win against Miguel.
as I said, no one MADE Manny accept the March date. Roach proposed March PUBLICLY before Mayweather did. I honestly do not get what you are saying. Roach did want it later because he said that after the fight with Cotto, which was fine, BUT ALL THAT CHANGED WHEN MASTER ROACH SAID THEY WANT TO FIGHT IN MARCH.
so don't blame Floyd for actually wanting to fight Manny in March DESPITE what Roach said. call a spade a spade and I don't think you are right now, honestly.

LOL you fans make me laughhhh

pac has an injury to the cartilage in his ear. Team Pac was the first to mention the March 13 date.
If Floyd is shaken, why is he about to sign a fight with Manny Pac.
What an idiot.
His trainer came out and said that March would work for Manny.
Floyd agrees for March
Manny agrees for March
He should be fine..no excuses.
Could you post the quote of Roach? I still think Bob Arum persuaded Manny to change his plans. I just find it too odd that it's Arum's birthday next week. What surprise!!!
Of course, no excuses. Pacquiao signed the contract. Damn Arum.
EDIT: I just saw the new quote from Roach about his excitement to get started.
He's being rushed. March is too early against a tough opponent like Floyd. Maybe against somebody else (Mosley, Margarito, etc. :lol1: ), March would've been fine for Pac.
Manny had no problem having the fight in the latter half of 2010. I don't know why they keep on insisting the fight won't EVER happen beyond May.
