please dont troll this thread because this is a real question. Anyone else can answer too if they want but be real and dont come on here to clown and most of all dont lie just to get things going Pac's way or vice versa.
The question is, do you really think Pac has a better chance of beating Floyd at the end of the year than he would in March? If Im a Pac fan then I want this fight in March so bad. I heard someone said that Pac is a little beat up while Floyd is fresh & rested. I felt the way that he said it he was moreso just taking up for Pac and not wanting the March date but some probably do genuinely feel that way. I look at it from the opposite side. I think Pac is energized and on a roll while Floyd has been sitting for 2 and a half years by time the fight comes with only 1 fight in that span against a guy that most of you think was inferior. I know alot of people who felt that Floyd didnt look as good in that fight.
Now if Pac doesnt take it, Floyd will probably have 2 fights between now and late this year. You could argue that Floyd would lose to Mosley which is possible but if that did happened then none of this matters anyways. Still, Im sure you would rather have had Pac be the one to beat Floyd. For the argument though, lets say Floyd beats Mosley pretty convincingly and someone else wether it be Hatton or whoever. You have that Floyd who will be now all the way back and super sharp against a Pac who hasnt had a fight in nearly a year. To me that Pac has no chance of beating that Floyd. No chance. Right now as a Floyd fan, Im actually a little worried that Floyd isnt sharp enough for March and Pac's overall fighting speed & tempo could be a shock to him because he just hasnt fought enough and you cant duplicate that in sparring.
Again, what are your honest thoughts on this and please dont give me a homer answer just because Pac is saying NO to March "as of now". Or do you think that the fight should maybe be pushed to 2011. Let Floyd take 2 or 3 fights and let Pac have 1 tuneup and then go to Floyd?
Just to make it clear -- this isn't being said because I'm a fan of Pacquiao -- every fighter needs sufficient time to rest. It's vital. I would say the same if the shoe was on the other foot and Floyd was doing this.
Floyd fighting 3 times in 10 months? It would never happen. Not at this level. When you're up-coming, having 4, 6 and 8 rounders, that's different. The preparation for 3 superfights is much more intense.
so where was you when Cotto fought pacman 3 months after getting busted up by clottey...ANSWER ME THAT...PLEASE ANY REAL PAC FANS..WHY IS IT OK FOR PAC TO DO IT TO COTTO BUT NOT FOR FLOYD TO DO IT TO PAC???????????????????ANYONE????
BE FAIR MAN!!!

March is too early. At first I was all for it, but then I looked at the dates, factored in the length of the training camp, etc., and change my mind.
If Pacquiao has a 3 month camp like Roach was saying, he has to get back into training in the middle of this month. Since he only fought a few weeks ago, I don't see it as sufficient time to rest. If they fight in March, it will be Pacquiao's third superfight in only 10 months, and he will have been in hardcore training for a total of 7 months.
Why do you think Floyd is so eager to fight in March? The same reason his fans are eager for the fight to happen in Match -- because there's a good chance Pacquiao is burned out and distracted. You all know this. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
Floyd wouldn't fight Cotto and Pacquiao in the space of 4 months, nor would I expect him to.
So, bottom line: March is too early. May would have been better. Pacquiao is making a mistake in taking the fight in March, but if he has the confidence to believe he can pull it off, so be it. If the fight was pushed back instead of being rushed into, there could be no excuses.

I think March thingy gonna happen

PAC-MAYWEATHER 2010----- LETS GET IT ON!!!!:boxing:
I think everyone on both sides agree that May is the perfect time but thats out because of the election. March seems a little too early and September seems too late but those are the only dates we have right now and some people say that it will be even later than September. Therefore just for this thread, which would you rather have it? March or at the end of the year, or later?

He fought a very grueling fight and in a year moved up and fought the three biggest guys he's ever fought. One of the fights was fairly tough, on top of that. The ear injury is there, he has elections coming up, Mayweather is a GREAT fighter.
Jeez, the least the guy needs is a few more months.
the thing is,I actually think you have a valid point but when Roach said that they want to fight in March to avoid May,and said that Floyd did not want March 2010 every pac fan was on here and everywhere else saying FLoyd is running scared and shitting on Floyd...Now Floyd has taken the bait and agreed for March 2010 now Roach is chatting shit and saying its too early...WTF?????? please can anyone explain to me whhy theres loads of shit coming from Roachs mouth and now he scared???PAC need 12 weeks instead of his usual 8???? BUT MR ROACH, WERE YOU NOT THE ONE THAT SAID THAT FLOYD WOULD BE PAC'S EASIEST FIGHT?????? IF THATS THE CASE YOU ONLY NEED 4 WEEKS LYING BAST**D!!!! I LIKE PAC BUT rOACH IS A PR*CK!!!

im very confident on a pac win on any dates.... may is my ideal date because the issue on the injury will be gone
march is too earlyso i really dont want that date because he just fight last nov... then if its on march, he will start training on january. w/c is a month from now.
september is fine.... too long but fine, im dont care on what mayweather is doing anyway, will he really improve on fighting hatton?... i dont see mayweather fighting mosley anyway,
anyway, i think the only reason why the floyd fans wants the fight not delayed is because of the chance of may- mosley fight will happen w/c can risk floyd 0.
I think the one who should be happy on the delay is the flomos right? because he can get a tune-up... but theyre somewhat worried for some unknown reason, or is it mosley?
why the hell would floyd fans be scared of Mosley...listen mate..i want Floyd to fight Pacman, Mosley then Paul Williams....am not saying he will but thats the fights I want to see but you saying that we as fans are scared is just plain retarded..I aint fighting Mosley for FUk sake, why am i scared????thats just silly man.
anyway Pac will get KTFO by FLoyd..some of the pac fans are already making up excuses like he needs to heal...WELL WHEN PAC BEAT COTTO,COTTO ONLY FOUGHT A COUPLE MONTHS BEFORE THAT AND HAD A VERY BAD CUT..I DIDNT HEAR YOU SAY,COTTO NEEDS TO HEAL..WHERE WAS YOU THEN...all i ask if for you pac fans to be fair.lets get the fight now for the sake of the fans....MARCH 2010...LETS GO!!!

Come on now, you know there is no Floyd fan who is scared of Mosley. I dont mean that in a diss way. I just mean that every Floyd fan would give there right leg to see the fight even if they thought Mosley may win. I think they are upset 1st of all because people tried to make it sound like Floyd was ducking Pac which I always thought was dumb but most of all, when somethings hot you just dont want to put it on the back burner because anything could happened. Floyd could lose to Mosley. Floyd could suffer a horrible injury, the negotiations will probably be 10x harder the next time around, and so on and so on. I mean, its not like this is the 1st big fight that wouldnt have been done. There has been a ton in boxing, most recently Bowe-Lewis and the RJ-Hopkins rematch. Now RJ-Hopkins are finally fighting when they are washed up. No one wants that to happened again. Also, people are insane if they think that Floyd will go from now to September or later with only fighting Hatton. He would definatly fight the Shane-Berto winner

That all depends...
Without factoring the election, I like May more than March. Roach wants a 12week training camp, He sees something in Pbf (or Pac still lacks something) that makes him tentative of just an 8-week TC. As a fan, I want to give Roach that time so we can see Pac completely prepare for Pbf. No excuses.
Other than that, I also think May would be a perfect time for the hype to be at its crescendo. A lot of time to prepare for selling the fight as well. September, IMO, the fight may have lost some of its luster.
i do not get why when your a prospect you fight 12 times a year but as soon as hype build its 2 fights a year if your lucky sad that the fighters dont even realize they are killing the sport.
Ya Promoters want to make the fighters exclusive in fighting so they can make people pay PPV and Seats. I guess that's just buisness.
March is too early...May is the perfect time if pac isn't running for congress......The elections are in may....I'm willing to wait a few months as long as it happens...
I want this fight at March 13 too, I plan on re joining the army and I might be deployed after than.
I believe Pacquiao is always ready for a fight if the bruises heal up.
Skill wise they are both ready at anytime IMO
But politics and money wise, they won't be ready for a long time. I think the tougher fight is on this side.
Just my opinion
