His last training camp was as distracting as they come. Didn't seem to affect him too much did it? Can't see it being too much of a problem for him this time round. Of course should he lose, this will be the first excuse brought up.

TS has a point. Although we shouldn't make excuses, there are several distractions here that might affect most other fighters. nO excuses! That's what I'm afraid of. I hope Pacman wins, but if he doesn't I don't want people making up excuses and I don't want myself tempted into making a few myself. I wanna KNOW he lost cause Floyd's just that good.

Won't Pac's "running for office" distract him ? Quite the contrary actually, I think the fight taking place on March 13 will make Pac a lot more motivated to win against anyone in the ring. It's his best chance to make his people vote for him, when they're still all happy and singing praises for him, provided he wins. The reason 2 dates for the fight are floated around is this: May 1 - the fight happens if Pac runs uncontested for the position, thus making him winner by default. No need to go on a campaign tour, etc and instead use the time to train for the fight. Unfortunately, somebody decided to run against Pac, which means he will have to try real hard to convince people to vote for him. If you ask most Filipinos, they love Pac, but not in a way that they'd put him into congress. Thus... March 13 - election campaign period is from March 25 up to May 8. It doesn't matter to Pac who he fights on that date, as long as he gets to fight (and win, of course). He thinks it'll help people remember his name, come election time. Remember, he lost in the previous election for the same position. I would be much worried if Pac/May happens later in the year and he lost the election. He might not be inclined to dedicate the fight to his countrymen if they let him down on the elections :lol1:
