It may have cracked one of the lower ribs too, sick punch. The undercard was a straight up robbery, that may have been even more disgusting.....the state of this sport.
When will the corruption end?
You can thank Goldenboy for that. They have invested in the likes of Juan Diaz and Joan Guzman and are keen on protecting their investments.

This is what heppen when you use your face to block punches, Your chin becomes weaker by fight and then one day someone would drop you with punches that you would normally take.
And he was also hit with a punch he didn't see coming. No one had truly tested his body either, most people found him so easy to hit to the head that they abandoned the body punching.
Having a dependable chin is great but you can't base your boxing style on taking unnecessary punishment. Even the likes of Jake LaMotta and George Chuvalo had some defensive skills and never left themselves as open as Andrade does while he is attacking.
To be honest I'm not sure if Andrade can ever recover from this loss.

looked like a liver shot to me, especially from andrade's expression (aka painful paralysis). I identify with the solar plexus remark though, I have taken a football tackle that knocked the wind out of me, and i remember my body just completely shutting down.
2 FIGHTS IN A ROW, Bute stopped someone from a deadly body shot. :ugh:
I don't know that much about Bute and have only seen him fight once. I accept that body punching would HAVE to be considered when entering the ring with Bute.
I think anyone who fights Bute should be worried about his body punching skills. No amount of Abs would protect you from hard shots to the body, the body is the area any boxer can be hurt at. Hell, with a nicely timed shot, you wouldn't even realize you're hurt until your on the canvas.
Your probably right, and it would be something Froch would have to take into account. But I think that punch was a once in a blue moon shot. I doubt body punching would have too much bearing on a potential fight between the two.
Bute would tear him apart, it wouldn't be close.
Froch would have an average chance against Bute. While Bute has good movement, and good power, he doesn't look that difficult to hit, and can be badly hurt (as seen in the Andrade fight). In my opinion, Froch is far more conditioned than Andrade, and wouldn't have to be too wary of Bute's body punching either.
It's a fight where Froch would have good opportunities to assert pressure on Bute, and would be able to land big shots. I would have Bute as a slight favourite, because Froch can be outboxed by slick boxers, but Froch could just as easily stop Bute at any point during the fight. It's close...maybe 60/40 fight to Bute.
Froch = Underrated
Anyone can be KO'd with a solar-plex punch. You literally wouldn't be human if you could take a solar-plex punch like that. It knocks the wind completely out of you. That is also Butes money punch he has been working on, and perfecting it.
Looked more like a liver shot to me, no?
If you guys haven't seen it yet, check out Butes fight against Zuniga. He gets Zuniga out of their with a similar punch. The thing is now, Bute is going to have to find other Money punches since ppl now know his best punch is a beautiful timed shot to the body to take the wind out of his opponents.
Yeah but against an orthodox fighter there isn't much that they can do to guard against it. Once they throw that right hand they're open for it.
And that isn't his only shot, uppercuts, hooks, shovel punches, he has a complete arsenal. He almost knocked Berrio's head right off his shoulders.
Was that a bodyshot, or uppercut?
First time I have really seen Bute. He looks a little too easy to hit, but has good timing and power. I would love to see him fight Carl Froch. That would be war.

very very impressive from bute
i still think he is too easy to hit BUT knocking out andrade so early is huge
respect for bute he should fight the winner of the super six

carl fvcking froch is a b grade fighter
CAN U NOT REALISE THIS DUUUUH
As sweet a K.O as your going to see, the first came out of absolutely no where, very impressive. Andrade didn't expect to get hit when he was punching.

I once got kicked in the solar plex, and it's the worst pain I have experienced in my life. I couldn't even take in a breath of air. It sounded like I was throwing up just trying to breathe. The debilitating effects of a good, well placed, bodyshot can't be understood unless you have experienced it.
That was impressive, although I'm not so sure about Andrade's punch resistance. He has always had a granite chin, but there comes a point where it gets weaker if you are testing it fight after fight. Body shot was a peach.
I just think the knockdown was a case of not seeing the punch. He looked hurt, but not badly. He still had his legs, and his eyes were clear. That body shot was disgusting though. I could almost feel the pain Andrade was in. It was almost as good as Hatton's bodyshot against Castillo...perfect!!!
