In my opinion, this fight could go either way.
Lucain Bute definitely needs to stay on the outside since Librado Andrade is the better inside fighter with his short, hard hooks. Bute has the better technical boxing skills, with excellent speed and quick reflexes.
If Andrade succeeds in turning the fight into a slugfest, he'll win. Although both have equal power, Andrade has an iron chin and Bute does not (Lucian hasn't been stopped in the pro ranks, but he was KOed in the 2003 World Amateurs by Gennady Golovkin). And Bute needs to pace himself better, he appeared to tire in the last round of the first fight and could no longer escape Andrade's punches.
Andrade was robbed in their last fight.
I don't know if its true that Andrade has to lose 33 lbs to meet the weight. If this is true, will this affect his performance tonight? He said that he didn't have a problem losing the extra poundage. In this case, I'll give Andrade a better than 50-50 chance of winning this rematch bout.
I re-watched the first fight yesterday, and I have a feeling you're right. Andrade's relentless pressure may again break Bute down by the later rounds.
Respect to Bute for fighting Andrade again.
It's almost be a shame if Bute lost just because it is nice reading about a guy who can sell out 16K seats and I don't want to see his popularity go down the drain.
If he wins this one they should do a Leonard-LaLonde and get Pascal to come back to 168 and put both titles on the line...
andrade by a miracle.
It wouldn't be a miracle by any stretch.
I believe in Andrade and I think he gets better every fight. He is so humble in his own appraisal of himself that I believe he has gone back and watched the first fight enough to bring a few surprises to the ring.
He has a trainer who is perfect for him and I think they will have a much better plan than people are expecting.
Bute, in my opinion, has always had it pretty easy. He got the title in an easy fight, has made a couple piece of cake defenses, and he was rescued by a friendly ref the only time he got himself into danger.
He is going to have to be even better than last time just to make it to the 12th round. I think Andrade makes the adjustments to land more punches early and breaks Bute down by the 10th round.
andrade sets a ridiculous pace from the starting bell but gets tagged all the way through the late rounds. bute fades in the 10th and andrade starts landing big.
andrade by a miracle.
I think it's funny that anyone would believe that Bute is going to be able to dictate the pace of this fight.
Andrade is going to prove tonight that heart and toughness trump flash and style.
Sure Bute will probably win the first 8 rounds but all Andrade has to do is get to Bute about 30 second sooner than he did last time. I believe he can.
Andrade's only chance is to set the pace of the fight according to his own stamina, the faster the pace=more chance for Andrade as I don't think Bute improved that much stamina wise.
Regular pace=Bute comfortable UD win.
Higher pace, higher punch output=Andrade UD but very possible by a late stoppage as well.
I'm leaning a bit toward Bute winning by UD, but I think this could very well end in a KO by Andrade.
Librado is relentless and I've never seen him even slightly hurt. I can imagine him gradually breaking Bute down.
Andrade was down once in his career, against Mack.
I'm leaning a bit toward Bute winning by UD, but I think this could very well end in a KO by Andrade.

Lucian Bute will win by UD, but a late tko is possible.
But, like the 1st fight, you should never count Andrade out, but I do believe Bute won't make the same mistakes again, Andrade as being the loser of the 1st fight, had a lot more to gain and adjust for the 2nd fight knowing what he did wrong, All Bute could have done was work on stamina maybe and learn how not to slug it out in the 12th after winning the previous 10-11 rounds.
Either way, I hope it's a exciting fight, may the best man man :)
i think andrade will get to bute, bute was out on is legs
if bute has improved is stamina he will win a clear ud BUT
i just think bute is quite easy to hit and andrade will be able to land some leather on him from the middle of the fight to the end
bute was completly done from rnd 11 where that pr1ck of a ref fcuk things up for andrade
god man i hate the ref corrupt b@stard!!
i remember seeing you post when i first became a member, where ya been? to answer your question i think andrade will get his fair share of shots in but bute is a good counter puncher and he already has fought andrade and knows the patterns better than he did in the first fight. bute UD
