Against Oscar de la Hoya. I have been arguing with this complete and utter idiot who told me that Bernard rehydrated 12 pounds on the night of the Oscar fight and weighed in at 168 or 169. The fight was contracted at 156. I know that Hopkins never rehydrates more than a couple of pounds....can anybody help me prove it?

He's right. Hopkins rehydrated to 169 while Dela Hoya refused to weigh-in on HBO's unofficial fight-time scale.
He went from 175 to 182 against Tarver and 170 to 180 against Wright. Hopkins has always been good at cutting weight.
was the fight actually contracted at 156, i have the de la hoya career set on dvd and im sure when i watched that fight they said that hopkins just came in light to prove a point, that he didnt have to just use his size to win and he could outbox oscar
oscar was down on 2 scorecards and the other one was even
Was he ahead on Ledermans scorecard?
I can't remember bit I think I remember HBO thinking that Hopkins might have been behind because he gave away the early rounds.

As the fight entered the fateful ninth, Hopkins was ahead on two of the judges' scorecards (79-73 and 78-74), with the third judge having Oscar ahead (77-75).
Oscar was calling the shots - and the person that I am arguing with is that effeminate little susie by the name of Silver Samurai or some such shit.
Thanks for the response. I realize that Hopkins was bigger but even 165 seems a bit high -- for Hopkins. Most fights rehydrating nine pounds is nothing./
chad dawson rehydrated 15 pounds after the weigh in against johnson
plenty of other fighters also have, but i cant remember who the fighters were
but why was there a catchweight with all the middleweight belts on the line????thats just stupidOscar was calling the shots - and the person that I am arguing with is that effeminate little susie by the name of Silver Samurai or some such shit.

weird shit is that de la hoya had a cut in his hand and could'nt fight like he wanted to and was actually ahead on the scorecards before taking a dive
but it was also obvious hopkins was taking it easy on him by not imposing himself, find it hard to believe he's that dumb
