If Kessler just know how to fight inside, Ward wouldnt want to clinch will he?

Ward had the right gameplan.. rough him up, dont let him set anything up.. He fought like a vet, and was def a lil dirty in there.. but, hey, its a rough sport.. Im happy he won.. Ward fought ALOT more than Direll did..

Im not for headbutts, but at the same time I realize its a fight and butts do happen. If I felt I was butted purposely Id either butt back or something to the guy and/or let the ref know of the butt. When Ward was butted by Miranda in the first round he immediatedly turned to the ref and showed him the cut since the ref didnt see it, the ref stopped action and told the judges it was a butt. Right, good fighters just deal with it and I'm suprised at Kessler, had he let the whole hometown thing get inside his mind? Who knows, but he was beaten by a better fighter on the night. Bika threw more headbuts at Calzaghe than he did crosses, great fighters adapt and I am dissapointed Kessler couldn't but give props to Ward - you box to the interpretation of the ref, it is vary rare that you actually get a truly bias ref - see Ottke vs Reid for an example of outright cheating.

Why are there no threads on the ref? Shouldnt we be blaming the ref whose job is to call such a thing than blaming Ward? Ezxctly, if you fight to the referee, if he won't ref it for you, you have to sort it out yourself- if the ref then starts pulling you up and not the other guy then you can accuse him of bias, otherwise you just get on with in. Kessler couldn't adapt, he has now lost to two elite guys and hasn't been able to adapt during the fight. Calzaghe didn't do his homework on Kessler and paid for it if the early rounds, but he adapted during the fight to end up winning comfortably, unfortunately Kessler couldn't do this and ultimately it will stop him from being considered a great. I saw potential in Ward and had a good discussion with Bhop reign regarding his skill in the clinch, but Ward exceeded my expectations. I let myself get put off Ward by Scott Gilfoid, who normally gets everything wrong. How Kessler reacts to the loss will tell alot, hopefully he will bounce back and shut Froch up. Ward now has to prove the win was more to do with his skill than Kessler going backwards.

Look how many times Ward clinched, looking back now jesus it's almost Dirrell like. Ward won that fight clearly who cares about the clinches atleast ward was fighting and not running away

Ward holding all the time and the cut started in round 4, not round 8 from a headbutt. i watched the video, and saw the same exact thing i saw when i watched the fight live... ward landed punches at will right down the pipe...he was too fast for kessler, and exposed kessler as a rather one-dimensional fighter...there was a major accidental head butt, and some holding... thats boxing... is your point that kessler won the fight or deserved to win the fight? if not, then you're just whining...ward fought a great fight to pull off a major upset...give the guy some credit for gods sake... and listening to someone from the uk complain about holding is kinda funny...you have seen hatton fight before havent you?

lets be honest kessler got beat by ward's speed and agility, but that doesn't mean that the holding and hitting and headbutting didn't effect kessler.

Why don't you actually watch the video I posted. Ward holding all the time and the cut started in round 4, not round 8 from a headbutt. I've seen the fight twice. The cut in the forth round was under the eye, and wasn't incredinly serious. He wasn't cut badly until later in the fight. That's when all hope when out the door.

The ref was letting them fight on the inside. Kessler doesn't know how to. I'm a Kessler fan and realize this. No excuses.

After the cut Kessler wasn't the same, he wasn't that successful early anyway but it was the holding. (You can hear the ref say it's from a but in the 4th round) So it was early enough that Kessler could have gotten into his stride later on.

I don't like all these excuses. Kess got beat. He needs to suck it up now and get back on track for Froch. Btw it seems like you spend 100% of your time on here whinging.
