Is shit. Plain and simple, most of the Kesslers, Calzaghes, and others who made a career in the old continent would NEVER pass the contender status in the states where boxing is really competitive. But what makes the US boxing so much better? Simple answer: They fight different people. US boxers will fight Cubans, Mexicans, Filipinos, Ricans and also Europeans. European fighters on the other hand are happy to spend most of their careers in their backyard. That really shows when faced against top notch competition, prime, healthy, confident and strong competition who really want to win and have talent to back it up. I remember watching Sven Otke fighting in Germany and i was a little kid, knew nothing about boxing but kept thinking, man, this guy will get owned if he faces RJJ (young, confident, fresh and undefeated RJJ). I got the same feeling seeing most of the others Euros. I'm sure everyone sees it the same way but the question here what can they do to stop fighting like freaking robots?
