Come'on.. when Mayweather retired, the number one spot was up for grabs. It's obvious the two best in the division, at the time, were Cotto and Margarito. They battled it out and Margarito took the top spot. Then Mosley beat Margarito and now he has the top spot.

Once you retire, you retire your spot as the man. Is like if Lennox Lewis comes out of retirement. It won't make him the man at HW. He would have to ean it.

Floyd vacated his position as "the man" of the division when he retired. Mosley beat Margarito to become the number one rated WW, after Margarito obliterated Cotto.
