The numbers are tallied solely from what is grossed in North America. I am sure Lewis vs Tyson sold many PPVs in the UK, but the official number is the 2 million buys tallied from the American market. HBO and Sky Sports are in the same boat.

It's a matter of principal. Mayweather brings more to the table financially and as such his purse should reflect that. The fairest split would be around 55-45, 53-47 minimum, to Mayweather. I don't believe there's that a big difference between him and Manny anymore but there is still a difference.
