seen a someone(not gonna say who) post: ''No one today can be the GOAT''
just to get the opinion of more people, and dont let the quote fool you, the real question is ''Are Fighters of the past Overrated''; in general, true or false?
i did also post that i'd favour lewis to win 7 times out of 10, and the only way he'd win against lewis is by knockout
besides, foreman is strong but dont make it seem like as soon as he makes contact everything goes black, it'll still have to be a hard shot right on the chin
He hits much harder than Rahman & Briggs mate.

All ive heard from you is how Foreman was to slow to lay a glove on Lewis and how he would! lose, that leads me to believe that you dont think he could knock Lewis out to win.

Yes he could, he could knock Foreman out, he could also easily get knocked out himself, but you dont seem to want to grasp that.

....................Yes.
I didn't mean to say that Foreman is a sure winner. I'm saying that Foreman could win if he connects or if Lewis tires out.
Still, tough to call.
moorer hurt foreman, does lewis have no chance of doing the same?

I know, thats why i think it would be 60/40 in Lewis's favour because of the stylistic advantages he has, that said Lewis had poor ring generalship imo and i can easily see Foreman walking him down and hurting him, so there is no way im gonna make Lewis out to be a sure fire winner in this one.

I think he was running out of stamina against Mavrovic and it's not like Mavrovic was putting much pressure on him.
It's a mistake to regard Mavrovic as a mediocre fighter. He wasn't.

It's all about if Foreman connects/Lewis tires out.
It's not like Lewis was a bum compared to Foreman. He had good movement and his defense might be underrated.

Jimmy Young had good ring generalship though, he knew how to negotiate his way around the ring and use to his advantage, he was also a lot quicker than Lewis and better defensively.
Lewis would be favourite to win but its 60/40 fight imo. I can easily see Foreman winning.

Neither did Jimmy Young.

lewis-Mavrovic.....did'nt seem to stationary, did'nt tire neither

Personally i think yes....
Not all of them, i mean, the top 10 ATG's have a fair enough place....top 15 possibly
But Still i think people dont give any1 now adays a chance.... today should be better then back in the day if anything, new training regimes, strength and conditioning workouts....
Its like football, you put Christiano Ronaldo into pele's time or maradonnas and he would run rings around people....
Yet he will never be known as the best footballer ever...
So my actual answer would be, yes in some cases
im thinkin 1900's to...i dunno about the 1950's
Ah...if we go way back...yeah...I think many are overrated if we stick them into today's game. And that's away from the speculation of what they would be like today with modern training, etc. because we are just sticking with what they were.
Some of the fighters today though aren't that great either but some of them are very good.
