It was my last day in Las Vegas Monday, and I returned to the Mayweather gym where I hoped to follow up on the interview I did with Roger Mayweather last week. I took a seat waiting for the top trainer taking in the usual buzzing activity of various fighters in training and listened to the speed bags humming. Roger was tied up doing pad work so I elected to wait. No sooner had I sat down before Leonard Ellerbe arrived, followed by a lineup of Floyd’s entourage. It was just over 36 hours since Manny Pacquiao’s one sided annihilation of Miguel Cotto, and the ‘Money’ man himself was back in the gym.
Back in the gym is a tad misleading. According to those in attendance, he never left it. The official word around the gym was that Floyd was just there to “stay in shape”. Yet just like the buzz heard all around the world, many in attendance at the Mayweather gym were speculating about a potential fight with Manny Pacquiao.
Floyd proceeded to work out for nearly two and a half hours without pause. He looked fit and in great shape. Starting with some shadow boxing, the pound-for-pound Picasso then switched to a rhythmic session on the pads with uncle and head trainer Roger Mayweather.
After that it was moving right to hitting the heavy bag. The entire gym echoed with grunts from Floyd as he raked his branded heavy bag with hook after hook. The motivational speakers in his entourage bellowed out “There can’t be two best fighters… There’s only one Floyd Mayweather!”
Floyd then moved to the speed bag before ending off with some skipping and stretching. While this was not a training camp session it had an air of seriousness among the eager onlookers and the champ himself.
No word or comment on any kind on fight negotiations directly from Team Mayweather today. The word was mum but it was business as usual. Leonard Ellerbe had his phone glued to his ear all afternoon, and we can only speculate with growing intrigue what was being discussed.
After hitting the shower to slide out in time for Monday night Football, Floyd and his entourage started to make it’s way out. It was the only time today that I heard Floyd mention Manny Pacquiao’s name, as he bellowed out to some onlookers that they should “Come back after I kick Pacquiao’s ass!”
The pride of Grand Rapids, Michigan is always quick to point out that all roads lead to Floyd Mayweather, and hopefully for all our sakes we get to see the Pacquiao express heading straight in that direction.
There appears to be an overwhelming feeling in boxing that a historic showdown is on the horizon. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it is encouraging news to see that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is hard at work in the gym on November afternoon.
everyone with a brain knows that Floyd is a gym rat. heck, they say the man was in the gym for months when was "retired". Its funny how this will get spinned, but this should not surprise anyone he is always training.
****ing liar you are along with ggmarquez aka al haymon. You said Pac is ducking floyd.
Now all your lies will be exposed up until floyd sleeps in the canvass in an epeliptic fit.
He is totally scared shitless now as he knows that zero of him will be gone next year and he'll return back to zero fame as he will get exposed for the fraud he is on that fight.
Roach added that if it’s Mayweather, March 13, being penciled by Top Rank as the date for Pacquiao’s next fight, may not be a good date.
“If it’s Mayweather, we need time to get ready for that fight. We have to come out with a real different style. It’s a whole different ballgame,” he said, adding that there wouldn’t be a need for a tune-up fight if that’s the case.

Yall Pacman lovers and Floyd haters, laughing now....but wait until he get a hold him.
The eye of the tiger is something else....and he pissed. he really ain't feeling this disrespect!
Yup youre right. The only time he's been really really mad is the Gatti fight and he's going to go off against Pac
How many Gayweather mafia guys would jump off a building to get a job washing Flomo's underwear or something like that?
Hahahaha coming from a Pacman fan who has 30+ entourage one to clean his bed sheets, one to make his bed, one to clean his room, one to massage his back etc. any filipino would get on their knees for their national hero, we know his nation loves his ass; 90% of the america hates Floyd.

Don't over train floyd:lol1: I don't wanna hear more excuses:p
Floyd eats sleeps and shits boxing. The guy is always in shape and is a gym rat. He is just doing what he always does...heck he was still training back when he was retired for two years. Building confidence, me left nut.
As much as i don't like Mayweather I'll admit he's always in excellent condition. Always in fighting shape and seems to have a clean lifestyle. Reminds me of Hopkins in that sense.
If beating Manny is such an easy fight, why start training more than 6 months out from the anticipated fight date? Floyd, Floyd,Floyd keep trying to build your confidence up man,lol

This is a big deal?
This fight is gonna be huge. Even if the fight is easy in his mind, the second biggest fight of his career deserves this type of attention.
He's getting older.
He had a bit of ring rust against Marquez and a long layoff before that.
It's only natural that it takes him a few extra weeks or what have you.
I really don't see the news in this. Especially considering that Floyd doesn't let himself get fat anyway. He'd be in the gym, regardless at some point.

I think they should sign the fight for spring.
Let all the other stuff... (Manny's 8th title against Yuri, the winner of Mosley-Berto), wait till after
