Im not talking about late when Cotto was running. We all saw that and thats too embarassing to even talk about. Im speaking of in round 4 when Cotto had Pac on the ropes. That was awesome. Thats probably like my favorite thing in boxing when one guy tells the other to keep coming or that didnt hurt me. Like I loved it when Cotto landed that flurry on Clottey and then Clottey came off the ropes shaking his head and pounding his chest like you cant hurt me. I love that stuff. Lampley went crazy went Pac was on the ropes and Cotto landed one of those big powerful flurries and the crowd was going nuts. Cotto then backs up a step and instead of running off the ropes, Pac waves his arms to tell Cotto to come back and give him some more. Cotto goes back and a few seconds later he was knocked down.
The fight was over from there. Cotto at that moment realized that he cant even hurt the smaller Pac man and is not effecting him at all while a second later he is down for the 2nd time in just 4 rounds and is hurt bad, again by the smaller man. Cotto's will was broken instantly and they might as well have stopped it then because you can tell that his whole mentality changed from that very moment. He was defeated, mentaly
Cotto's power is overrated.
his power is the punish you throughout the fight type. not the ko you with one punch type.
he can't punish pacquiao because pacquiao was winning everytime they engaged.
yep its true pac urges cotto to punch him more but the truth also is pac was really hurt when cotto punches him on the ropes pac said that in the interviews and he is just pretending it doesnt hurt him..
now I wont argue that he didnt win that but I felt it was more because of Pac kind of cruised at times. Cotto wasnt at that point fighting like he did in round 1. He was just instead taking what Pac would only give him and Pac wasnt super active that round
he changed his gameplan, i agree.. but he still fights and not like barrera who were just trying to survive the whole fight.. :D
i noticed that he is more effective on backpedalling and just boxing pac. his timing and jab definitely get pacs attention.. after this fight, i conclude that pac still has trouble with counter puncher..
cotto wins round 5 in my eyes.. he still came to fight after round 4..:purity:

yah, thats the pretty scary part... but he destroyed cotto mentally at that time
pac proves 2 things at round 4... cotto cant hurt pac mentally, and pac got a WW power

Yeah! It's more psychological than physical. Pac used a mind game againts Cotto to take out his will to fight and it works. Because when Cotto felt that he can't hurt the guy he lost his will to win. It's like a Spartan Tuck tail defense againts spears and arrows be fire upon from a distance. After the firing or throwing eases, thay raise their shields and laugh. It throws off the rythem of your enemy.
