Yes pac took sufficient punishment from Cotto, for PBF to think Pac is damaged goods, and he wants Pac now.

That was all make-up to make it seem like Cotto gave him a tough fight. He's partying now and his face is as good as new, he was just here eating rice and beans with me and my friends. I almost believed you until you came up with that combo.

I notice he had some major cauliflower ear during that Merchant interview. :shk1: You can clearly see him leaning with his left ear just to try and hear what he's being asked. It's a nasty feeling not being able to hear with both ears, I can vouch for that.

He didn't take much punishment, and right after the stoppage he looked fine... then in the interviews he looked really bruised up? I was surprised by that... Great win for Manny though... you must not have caught pac's post fight comments.... he wanted to go toe to toe w/ cotto.

Cotto landed quite a few hard punches early on and Cotto is a big puncher. Cotto has always been known for being able to mark his opponents up. Pacquiao is the exact same.

It would be a great fight, I know that. I guess you may be right about that... didn't look like he landed much though and he looked fine after the fight until the press conference.

You have to remember that up to Round 6, Cotto was pretty much landing those jabs and power punches on Manny as well. IMHO this was the toughest fight Manny was in in terms of the power that he had to take from his opponent. Props to Cotto for coming in prepared and strong, unlike many others who said he was damaged goods after the Margarito fight. Cotto came in as a legitimate elite welterweight on fight night. And one more thing that impressed me was his heart. He never quit eventhough his corner asked him several times if he wanted to. They just didn't have the balls to throw in the towel as they gave in to their proud warrior's wish to fight til the end

Actually, you can see during the fight that Manny's right ear was huge. He had to get it drained after the fight. Cotto did land some good, hard shots on him early.
