Floyd vs Pac at what weight?...

if manny wants it at 140, then 140, if manny wants it for his ww belt, then 147. c'mon, you floyd fans know all about making the opponent fighting at a weight that is optimal for floyd, but not for his opponent. sooo funny. how about the one floyd fan that said that they both proved they can compete at 147, so it should be 147. i guarantee you weren't screaming for the hatton fight to be at 140 because hatton had proven that he couldn't compete at 147.

Just to add something Walt, a 140 lb. fight. is not considered as a catchweight fight, that weight has it's own legit division... i know gopi!

Actually, yes it does apply! I'm not picking on Manny at all and I'm sure he would have still fought Cotto at 147 if it was up to him...I don't doubt that. And let me remind you that I am a fan of Manny but I don't like the catchweigh crap at all. That's just me. I share the same sentiment, I fukking hate catchweights! I'm just giving Pacman a fair shake because Cotto and his negotiating team are also accomplices here, it's not all Team Pacquiao, just to set the records straight...

I dont wanna hear any bullshit from Roach about catchweights - this fight should be for Manny's WBO belt (and whatever belt the WBC make up for the fight just so there involved) at 147 - Period.

First of all, Cotto wants this fight as much as Pacman's. One is Jr. ww champ while the other is a ww champ. Roach wants Cotto at 143, Pacman doesn't care if the fight's at 147, Cotto is amenable at 145, so who prevailed? Second, this is Pacquiao's first catchweight fight. If you want to put an asterisk to it, then fine, nobody will stop you, but what about the Leonard-Lalonde fight for the WBC's light heavyweight title at 168? Or the Leonard-Hearns II was for the WBO's super middleweight title at 163? Or the Terry Norris-Meldrick Taylor fight was for the WBC's Jr. middleweight title at 150? Or the Whitaker-Julio Cesar Chavez fight was for the WBC's welterweight diadem at 145? Did you put "*" to these fights too? I can go on and on about these catchweight fights, but it's useless, Pacman only fought once on a catchweight fight, and it was just last Saturday, so you saying these fights with a "*" doesn't apply... WRONG again, Oscar chose that weight, nobody dictates Oscar, you should know better than that. Everybody's calling that 147 fight a farce, a circus, what more if Oscar demanded Manny to come up to 154 when everybody knows that Pacman only fought ONCE at 135, imagine Pacman going up 19 pounds North were he just recently moved 5 pounds up? How would that fight look to the fans, the boxing pundits, the writers who thought that the fight was already a joke?
