Run Run Cotto Run

If you pay me what you paid Cotto, I'll gladly run around the ring backwards for 12 rounds. I'll spend all training camp running and not boxing or anything. I'll just learn how to avoid someone as long as possible. Then you will call me warrior.

I'm saying by getting into the ring and boxing a legend like Manny, Cotto did nothign shameful or cowardly. People don't realise how elite boxers are just cut from a different cloth to everyone else, a lesser man than Cotto would have fled the dressing room in terror. so how many of Pacquiao's opponents fled the dressing room in terror? he's fought 45 different guys, and none of them fled in terror. Are you saying people actually sign fights and then flee the dressing room on fight night rather than come out? I can't recall ever seeing that, at least not in the last 10 years or so.

Pacman was way superior and he would've gave up earlier but he didn't. so surviving 12 rounds is considered warrior-like now? wow, boxing really is dying according to the responses I'm seeing I am saying it would have been better for him to quit on his stool between rounds. Either way, you look like a quitter when you don't fight. How is jogging around the ring better than quitting on your stool? I really don't see how it's better. It's just a waste of time. Quitting, to me, is when you decide you aren't going to try to win anymore. So Cotto quit around round 8-9.

I dunno. The first few minutes after Cotto suddenly switched to backpedalling, he scored more significant shots on Pac, so the switch made sense tactically. Wasn't about fleeing at first, and never totally was. JMO, h. You're right that it worked at first, but then he completely quit throwing punches. By the way, Pacquiao said in the postfight presser that Cotto basically ran from him lol. “Cotto kept on running,” said Pacquiao of his fallen Puerto Rican foe I guess since it's Cotto though it's ok if he runs because he's a "warrior", right? Give me a break.

The typical running bullshit right on schedule. Cotto was badly hurt and wanted to preserve his pride by continuing to box. He was getting busted up by perhaps the most deadly pair of fists the world has ever seen. I'd like to see one of you morons get in the ring. It's not as easy as talking shit from your computer chair. If that was me in there, I can assure you I would throw punches with my eyes closed if I had to, but I would at least TRY to win. Cotto didn't, and if you can't see that, then boy I hope you cheer like hell everytime you see Cory Spinks on his bicycle throwing combinations. What Cotto did was shameful, downright shameful. totally disagree. there is no honor in running when you are behind. I guess you'd consider Morrade Hakkar's performance against Hopkins honorable? I'd always rather lose trying to win than lose by running away after getting my ass kicked early. I seriously will be shocked if anyone comes out of this with respect for Cotto. Yes, he took a tough fight and fought hard early, but why not just quit instead of jerking fans around? Nobody wants to see that cowardice bullshit on a pay-per-view they paid for.
