He just stands there so un-enthusiastically and doesn't really try to mimic a fight. And just walks away after each combination. I don't think Cotto can handle Pacquiao's pressure and Santiago isn't helping.

100% agree.... cotto's choice of a non-entity as trainer reminds one of RJJ's selection of alton! they both went with guys who wouldnt try to dominate them. roy went the whole way on talent and alton came up short in the calzaghe fight with zero input... santiago is gonna hurt cotto's game.
the pad routine gives me a headache and makes me wince.
i got to agree with southpaw.i just hope they don't over trained Cotto too. i think Cotto is going to win this fight, but after that he should get a better trainer.
Santiago is such a retard, he's gone from mixing protein shakes to main trainer now without any qualifications, for example which fighter did he train before Cotto? = None.
. So who from that camp came up with the fight plan? Who from the Cotto camp advised Cotto on his bad habits that needs to be corrected and finally who was able to discover the flaws of Manny's style for Cotto to take advantage of?
These are important points that none but a skilled, experienced trainer knows about and Santiago is not one of them, sorry to say.
Santiago is still young and he cant really impose himself on Cotto like he would have liked, Cotto is a world champion with a long history of working with his uncle, Am sure cotto would definitely control everything in his camp oppose to when Evangelista was in charge.
Santiago would make a great trainer in the long run and i could see him training alot of young PR fighters the way Nacho (JMM's trainer) did with some mexican fighter, Personally at this stage in their careers people like cotto dont really need a trainer as such.
