i just dont see the hype that i was seeing for mayweather vs marquez a few days prior.
mayweather showed up on yahoos top searches twice before the fight. i remember he was on their top 10 searches the day of the 24/7 premie not to mention that viewership has gone down for this 24/7 series. i dont know why but every time i open my browser i see if there are any boxers on the top searches list and manny hasnt been on there. the espn poll for that fight was at 88,000 votes on the tuesday before the fight. for this fight the poll is at 57,000 votes on the thursday before the fight. never the less i hope the fight does good numbers, boxing needs to prosper.
I might've agreed with you a month ago, but the promo for the fight kicked in gear about a couple weeks ago and Im seeing ads for it everyday let alone Pac was on Kimmel promoting the fight, ESPN is covering it, etc. A lot of casual fans are buying this fight.
I think it hits a Mill or goes a bit above.
My dad offered to buy the ppv, I told him no. 55 bucks is too much, I mean we all have the money and were like middle-class and shit but I personally don't believe fights should cost money to watch.
thats some thing i was thinking about. the price for may-jmm was lower. maybe only 5 bucks lower but numbers really do play into peoples heads, thats why in marketing you always see that .99. so if some one sees $49.95 and $54.95, numbers will play out psychologically. arum wants to give de la hoyas fighting price a shot, all those extra $5 add up in the end.
I dont mind discussing the possibilities of PPV buys or the business of boxing, but boasting about who's ppv dick is bigger or how much money another man has is very childish and homo.
every one is entitled to their own opinion. to each his own. i think its childish and looser'ish when i see all these posters arguing, crying, and going to battle with that fantasy reputation thing, but i keep to my self about it.
As long as its a good fight, I don't mind. I can't watch it live I have got too much on, I am just gonna try to download the next day without knowing the result.
it doesn't matter what the ppv is. the only reason oscar was so popular is because girls liked him. real boxing fans want to see this fight.
yea...i never post in threads where i supposably have "no interest" in.
