According to a few reports i have read Haye vs Valuev had around 800,000 PPV sales in the uk, apparently there was a big late demand for this fight. Thats excellent numbers i didnt think it would do that well.
Another reason why the Klits brother would love to fight Haye, He has a big mouth and he knowns how to get people to come to watch his fights. He sold the Wlad fight out with his antics before that neither klits brother sold 60000 tickets for a fight in Germany and a fight between them now gets bigger.
he apprently got £5 out of each ppv buy and if it sold in the UK.
I'm not suprised it did so many PPV's buys with the way hayemaker promotions and Sky sports promoted it the past month. I am very pleased they sold over 500k for it but can't see them selling 100k for the Ruiz fight.
anyone noticed when Warren isn't promoting fighters such as Haye and Hatton they do way bigger nukmbers on PPV than his fighters do?
With those numbers in mind, Haye earned about 5 million Euro for this fight - more than 3 times the purse of Valuev...
Probably sold 0 in the states since Valuevs only fight in the usa was against Barrett and that was years ago! I thought the barrett fight was pretty exciting, but they never showed Valuev again after that... Valuev looked fast against Barrett for a 320 pound man. But with age Valuev looked much slower now adays.
Why would it sell in the States? It wasn't on PPV was it? the were two non American fighters fighting, It was a heavyweight title fight, it was in germany and would of been shown in the USA at 4pm.
It sold well in the UK and Germany and thats all that matters.
How much did David Haye earn for this fight? just out of curiosity.

Very good numbers, good work by Haye and everyone involved in promoting the fight.
I don't know how well Ruiz vs. Haye will do, I have to say it shouldnt be PPV tbh. Firstly, Haye has obviously become a LOT more popular from this fight, but Ruiz doesnt bring the same appeal as the giant, so the fight would eitehr sell less, or sell about the same given Haye's new found status.
The best idea would be to get it on free TV, hype up the fight again (making reference to his win over Valuev, catch the publics eye and imagination again), then put on a fantatic KO in a packed out 02 arena.
Avoiding PPV for this fight will obviously make less money, but in the logn run it'll take Haye even further in popularity, making any subsequent fights HUGE.
Khan-Kotelnik did about 20k.
:lol1:
AMIR KHAN’S WBA world title winning display against Andreas Kotelnik registered more than 30,000 pay-per-views buys on Sky Box Office, despite claims from Frank Warren’s promotional rivals claiming otherwise.
“It’s absolute rubbish,” said Warren.
The English promoter is fuming that the low tallies have been bandied about after the Manchester Evening News Arena show on July 18.
In a press release, Managing Director of the Klitschko Management Group Boente alleged the Vitali Klitschko-David Haye clash, due for September, fell apart, because Haye was basing his purse on the UK PPV sales. Boente alleged Khan managed just 30k buys but Warren flatly denies it.
“He’s put it out there and it’s a liberty,” said Warren of the German promoter. “He said the Haye-Klitschko fight did not take place because of those numbers but the -Valuev fight is not as attractive and that’s still going out on Sky Box Office.
“The numbers were miles, miles above that . They were in excess of 100,000.”
Confidentiality agreements forbid Warren from giving exact figures but he said there was still room for improvement.
“I never, ever get the numbers I want from Pay-Per-View. We are always aiming higher,” he said.

Excellent numbers ! What did you have to pay for the fight ?
We in Denmark saw the fight for free, same as Froch vs. Dirrell and Abraham vs. Taylor. But Kessler will be on ppv for 100$ of cause :grumpy:
it doesnt matter, because we were rooting for our man HAYE.. so even if he won a SD, WE collectively would be happy.
I was just poking fun at how slow the fight was. Any type of support to one's fighter or the sport of boxing in general is great in my book.
Yeah it doesnt surprise me, the fight was promoted very very well, I was one who paid for it too.
I notice already that Frank Warren is criticizing Haye, funny how Warren has a go at anyone who's not in his stable. Imagine if Khan had a different promoter, Warren would be the first to criticize him in his lovely newspaper column.
Khan's fights have been doing about 100,000 i beleve but imo it was to early to put Khan on PPV.
You got any sources??
Pretty amazing numbers if true.
***How much was the PPV btw??
It was in a news paper i read this morning, i will try and find the article online.

I feel sorry for all those people that paid for that.
