Its funny but even the british comentators had valuev winning,I think perhaps because they have seen how difficult it can be to get a decision in germany it influenced the way they scored it as they were trying to think how the judges might interprit the fight however thankfully they seen sense,I actually had hay winning by a few rounds.Exactly, you only have to look back at the Robbin Ried and Sven Otke fight of a few years ago to see how the Brits get stitched up over in Germany, Haye got the right decision and i'm amazed at how many turds on here would of prefered Valuev to keep plodding around getting dodgy decisions, Wether you like Haye or not this is the best thing to happened to the HW division in a long time.

Yes and we all know why it was the wrong guy. It was because it was Joe the Euro and not Hopkins the yank. It wasn't the wrong guy because of the way it was fought.

Calzaghe chased Hopkins and did connect, if soft.
Hopkins pretended to get hit and dropped on the slow and grabbed a shit load of times.
Hopkins had 2 or 3 hard punches and grabbed. Calzaghe had like 10 soft punches.
The fight was a lot harder to score.
Haye VS vALUEV WAS EASIER TO SCORE BECAUSE YOU CULD COUNT THE PUCNHES LANDED ON ONE HAND.
The two fights were nothing alike Joe threw more punches in one round than the other two did in the whole of their fight! Bernard started well with a great cross that put Joe on his arse, but after a couple of rounds Joe got into his rythm and managed to land more punches on Bernard than anyone in his career; Bernard also had to pull a fast one, pretending to have been hit with a low blow when the replay clearly shows a legitimate shot.
You can argue the good clean shot vs many lighter punches, however, if you are taking those factors on board, then you also need to allow for who was trying to win the fight - Valuevs attempts at aggression would have counted more IF he managed to hit Haye.
Joe was the agressor for the majority of the fight, but Bernard did box cleverly and fooled the ref to get his breath back when he was out of steam. The fact that a judge from Philly could only give it to a fighter from Philly by one round says it all to me, however the score was close.
Did Valuev land anything. all night? No.
Did Haye land the better punches? Yes
Should have been a UD not SD.
As for Bhop, he can only blame himself, he ran too much and feigned low blows etc. He's capable of far better than that performance.
