it was boring... they focused alot on the 2 blimps and these 2 fighters arent made for this... we all kno the fight is gon be action packed but this was just amazingly boring
my favorite...of the first three
i agree with u..i think, this was one of the best 24/7 episodes. i dont understand y the OP did not like this one..im all pumped up now..Cotto's camp prepared for a war..they'll get it on Nov 14
yeh i agree it wasn't as exciting as the last one, imho i liked part two but part one was slow, i felt like i was watching the news rather than a build up for a superfight
Cotto needs to piss on the Filipino flag, imagine the ratings that would get.
No need to go there, both have class and respect for one another. Only a Mayweather would pull that off.
I disagree. Pacquiao and Cotto are very interesting individuals. You can see what makes them people and what makes them fighters. The thing about Mayweather is that he is manipulating the viewers perception about him; Mayweather as a rich, flamboyant and self-centered boxer that everybody likes to hate. And you the viewers are just eating it all up. True, I know that HBO is still responsible for the production and editing but still HBO cant show something with out getting something conclusive from the personalities itself.

Don't do that. Do you want to double the number of Pactards posting in this forum?
like it or not but pbf makes 24/7 intersting
24/7 is made for Floyd. But, the last 24/7 IMO JMM made it interesting. Hatton also makes it pretty interesting. I enjoyed both his 24/7.
I still think this 24/7 is better than Calzaghe-Jones. But, this fight shouldn't of had a 24/7. They should of just done one countdown show.

What's much more boring to me is these kind of threads.
Don't like it? Miss Mayweather a little too much? Turn off the set. Simple. No point in :crying: about it.

The celebrity angle is obvious and desperate.
Jeremy Piven and Mark Wahlberg? Hmmm, where would I know them from? Oh yeah, they are the star and executive producer, respectively, of an HBO comedy series.
Yeah, when Eddie Murphy casually dropped by the gym in the Mayweather/Marquez 24/7 I was like "oh please." Now we get it this time around too.
cotto is a quiet type guy. not a camera whore. nothin wrong with that
Nah nothing wrong with that at all...everyone in P.R. is already accustomed to his personality and still love him. Man I remember Cotto having his own gas station and still working in the gas station in P.R. Dude is down to earth and really doesn't like to be in the spotlight of things. To be honest, I'm wondering if he is finally getting comfortable with all the cameras around or is he really still uncomfortable about them being around all the time.
I didn't like this one. I hear Cotto isn't giving HBO much to work with as far as footage so that's all they can do.
But I do blame HBO for not putting this fight in perspective. It's where you need outside voices to help do that, but 24/7 does not include that. Why not have some experts come on and give their thoughts on the historical significance of this fight? Why not provide causal fans with analysis on why this fight will be so good?
Overall I think Top Rank and HBO could both do better at that. On paper this fight has war written all over it, yet I haven't even heard it mentioned by HBO until the Dawson fight tonight. Manny is going for his 7th title and it still hasn't been brought to light.
HBO is too caught up in the glitz and glam of Mayweather, De La Hoya, or even Hatton that they've stuck to this recipee to 24/7. Well that recipee doesn't work for Cotto nor does it work for the third Pacquiao one. The first two episodes were good, but I figured they'd actually include more analysis on the actual fight instead of the same montage of fighters hitting mitts.
That's just me.
You have a point - Some characters can carry the show with their BS, antics and bizaar points of view. But, when you don't have characters of this type, there has to be a backup plan to inject excitement into the show.
And HBO doesn't seem to have a backup plan.:purity:
If that ever happened this would be a huge fight...Boxingscene would have to block out so many guys cussing eachother out and trying to supress all the racial slurs in every freakin post. Things would different and would be interesting to see who the villain would be.
Let's be real though...Manny singing love songs in the Phillipines and here in the states doesn't allow for that type of marketing. And Cotto as much as I can see playing the villain is just a reserved type of guy that doesn't make bold statements like Tito did or Juanma does. He's an introverted type of guy, that even when he's pissed he is still calm...calm before the storm in the ring.

what if pac and cotto insult each other's culture? lol
