It's not such a bad comparison, people calm down. True. There are some similarities in their styles. Both guys use angles and throw punches in bunches. Both rely on great stamina and workrate to overwhelm opponents. Granted physically, Manny is faster and stronger p4p, but Joe is cagey.

i ain't saying he wasn't good, but he isn't on pac's level and he isn't an ATG I agree he isn't on Manny's level, but who really is right now? Whether he is or isn't an ATG is debatable. Some people have Joe down as an ATG. Some don't. It's a fictional list and in the end it comes down to opinion, really. I wouldn't have a problem with someone putting Joe in at the the tail end of their top 100. Calzaghe did most of his work going backwards and Pacquiao does most of his work going forward. They are completely different fighters. Both great in their own way but different as the sun is to the moon. The only thing they have in common is that they are All Time Greats and are southpaws.

Calzaghe could punch as straight as an arrow when he wanted to. The wide "slaps" are there to distract you and keep you from setting anything up, but there are hard shots mixed in with the lighter shots.
