Paul Williams cousin, Julianfoster88 on YouTube, consistently drops some very thought-provoking material, well worth the subscription. Interesting video this time around, I agree with some of the points. Floyd has fought some good competition in the past but he has not fought any welterweight who's in the current Top 10 so aiming for one of them should be next on the agenda in my opinion, ideally Shane Mosley.
Is there any proof he is related to Paul Williams except for the last name which is very common.
He is part of Rope-A-Dope Radio Show on blogtalkradio.com. He mentioned it briefly in one of the episodes, either 2 or 3.

Mayweather did call out Mosley in the past, a few times I know. He gets unfairly criticized for ducking Mosley when he already called him out. But I never suggested he ducked Mosley, I know that's not true, I'm just saying now is the right time for the both of them to fight. It would be a big money fight either way, but also it would establish who is truly the best in the division. Most people have the both of them at either Number 1 or 2 Top WW right now. I hope the fight happens in 2010 because Mosley's getting old now, I'd guess he hasn't got much time left in the ring.
The catchweight issue is something many have criticized Pac for recently, me included. I think especially if you're going to fight for the belts, insisting on a catchweight should almost exclude you from being eligible for the title. Roach is aware that weight-draining an opponent can effect their performance. They stipulated that Cotto could weigh in at 147 if he pays $2 Million but that isn't really much of a compromise.
Everyone is now saying Floyd should fight Mosley and finally prove who is the better fighter at WW. But guess what everybody is going to start saying as soon as Floyd beats Shane ''Oh Shane is too old now, he is past his prime blah blah blah''. Ok sure, not everybody would believe that Floyd beating Shane is a certainty but I believe Shane is no match for Floyd in his prime.
Weight issues aside but Floyd made the Marquez fight look like a walk in the park and this is after a couple of years out against a guy who is regarded as one of the best in the business. Without question the fight was deliberately set up for a Floyd victory but he did what he was supposed to do and even better. But the criticism Floyd has recieved has been a bit over the top but each to their own. The way Floyd got criticised was like he fought a complete over weight amatuer who couldn't box to save his life.
So why should Floyd waste his time in fighting Shane when he can just fight the winner of Pacquiao/Cotto. I can already imagine the critics coming out of every angle saying how Floyd should have fought Mosley years back and how Shane is way past his prime and the next thing they are going to say is Floyd needs to fight a Miguel Cotto. If Cotto beats Manny then I believe Floyd will have no choice but to fight him and if Pacquiao wins, which i believe will happen, then Floyd can by-pass Mosley and Cotto to set up if not the biggest, but atleast one of the biggest fights in boxing history.
PS Floyd would mop the floor with Shane and you are just stupid to believe Shane at this stage his career can even stay with Floyd.
Of course Id want to see it, but there was a time when Floyd tried to make that fight and the reason it wasnt made is the same reason it isnt made today but the tables are reversed. Mayweather was high risk/low reward for Mosley back in 1999 while he was chasing bigger money fights at higher weights. Pac moved up no doubt because the biggest paydays are at the higher weights no other reason, its just that in order to get huge paydays he has to fight toughter opponents, but we know that wasnt a good version of Oscar and him not allowing Cotto to come in at 147 says something to me.
People like to overlook those things but there are reasons behind it or else he would fight the best at their best, the fact is the best are even too big for Pacquaio and Roach and team knows this.

He is related to Paul and he is defending Floyd?
God he must love that Mayweather cock.
If anything I thought he was going to give Rugged props for telling Floyd that Williams would come down and beat Floyd but no, here we have the bean poll Floyd nut hugger defending Floyd. I guess Flomos come from all walks of life and will betray their very own to defend the fake pound for pounder. Pathetic
booooooooooooooooo
i thought he would take his cousin's side.
he does have some facial similarities with P Will i think, so maybe he is his real cousin
He might not have to face those guys if he dont want to, but The REASON I THINK HE IS AN ASS is claiming to be the GREATEST OF ALL TIME when he harldy had a risky fight out of his comfort Zone, he only founght one guy with physical advantages over him thats a past peak DELA HOYA who had a wait for it... a one inch height advantage and a one inch reach advantage wow and mayweather nut huggers Baldamir and Judah are smaller than Floyd, and Corrales was taller by two inches but Floyd had a two inch reach advantage, so that is pretty much even to me. All the Top five of all time Ppl like Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Muhamed Ali, beat guys with considerable size and reach advantages not like one inch but more over them and not just one guy but many, even Pernell Whitaker a smaller guy with a smaller reach than Floyd who is not in most of the top five of all time beat bigger guys with reach and height advantages like Rivera, Brazier, McGirt, Roger Mayweather at Welterweight probably some more if i checked more extensively, So All you Mayweather nuthhugers fans saying that floyd is really a lightweight just doesnt stand up when floyd was bigger than any welter weight he fought, and he has size advantages over cotto and mosley.
But he's not in that position where he has to prove anything. He has already proved his merits in boxing. This is where I think many somewhat new people to the sport really dont realize. Floyd proved his mettle at the lower weights, he's in his fourth weight class for crying out loud, rarely would you see a fighter in his fourth class fighting the best available and never every time out. Why doesnt Cotto get blasted for not going to 160(his fourth weight) and fight somebody? Cotto is fighting top level at his second weight, well Floyd fought the best at his second weight also.
Remember Pac got blasted when he beat Diaz because Diaz wasn't considered one of the best at lightweight. He didn't hang around long enough at the weight for that to continue but it would have done if he stayed there and didn't fight better opposition. It's a natural reaction and it's not limited to just Mayweather. Anyone who is widely considered to be one of the best is expected to fight the best opposition at their current weight, again above all I think it's just logical. I can appreciate your point of view I think. What you're saying is that Mayweather has had tougher fights at other weights so why not allow him to fight slightly "easier" fights now and just make some money before he retires. It's a fair point but I'd still like to see Mayweather vs Mosley, it'd be a great fight and could go either way.. Really for the sake of boxing history it's a fight that should be made.. Wouldn't you want to see it?
another floyd jock tugger.
Its official, pactards claim Paul Williams cousin is a Floyd nut huger. :pat: Its a shame Pacman doesn't have a more intelligent fan base.
People had been calling for him to fight Hatton for a long time, he fights him and dominates, all of a sudden Hatton was no good to begin with, thats typical Monday morning quarterback talk. Hatton was ranked #1 by the WBC when Floyd fought him also, not that it matters I guess. Why wouldnt he put purse over prestige, you would do it too if you were in his shoes, step outside of the fan's perspective for once, I did.
A fight against a top welterweight like Mosley or Cotto would generate a massive amount of money. I think the pay day is just an excuse in my opinion. Mayweather will most likely make a large amount of money regardless of who he fights now so why not fight the best opposition, keep the boxing fans happy and improve his record with more credible opponents, all in one go.
NEXT hasnt happened yet so why are people already vilifying the guy when nobody knows who he will fight, Ive never seen anybody get blasted over an opponent when the decision hasnt even been made.
He is a brilliant boxer and deserves a lot of respect for that. The problem really lies with his last two opponents, both Marquez and Hatton, who were not in his league for different reasons. Hatton was never an elite fighter and also wasn't a natural WW. Marquez was always way too small for the division.
His last two fights have effectively been against subpar opposition and therefore are virtually meaningless. People want to see Mayweather face a highly rated welterweight, someone who actually has a chance of winning. I think it's only logical, considering he fights at the welterweight limit and is regarded as one of the very best. True, we don't know his next opponent but we do know his last two and the concern is that Money May is falling into a pattern of purse over prestige. One fight against a top welterweight could change all that.
So why bring up he hasnt fought anyone in the CURRENT top 10 knowing he's been off, thats a backhanded hate dig.
It's not hate, it's just logical. Someone of Mayweather's level should be fighting a current top 10 welterweight next, he is an exceptionally gifted boxer.
Is there any proof he is related to Paul Williams except for the last name which is very common.

The current top 10 isnt what it was before he retired, why do people keep saying the current top 10 as if he was off for almost two years is beyond me.
He's been off for 2 years so the rankings have obviously evolved, that's why he should fight someone in the current top 10 next. I can understand Marquez as a tune up, but he was a much smaller man who never fought at the division.
