Do you honestly think Johnson is better than Hopkins?
I think the past-prime age 40 Johnson would be now beaten by Tavoris Cloud and Jean Pascal.
Good sir don't overestimate Pascal and Cloud. Jean beat a very good Adrian Diaconu but he also hasn't had to deal with a guy Johnson's caliber. But Pascal I would give the nod over Johnson barely. As for Cloud, he beat a past it Clinton Woods. I was ringside for that one as I was for Dawson/Johnson I, and other fights by both men.
What I've seen from them both I easily have Glencoffe taking Cloud right now. Tavoris was touched multiple times by Woods left hooks and Glen carries more weight behind his than Clinton does. Johnson might've peaked in April of last year when he fought Chad last, but right now Cloud doesn't have enough experience to deal with Glen.
As for Hopkins, he isn't even fighting. Him and Johnson would be a good scrap, but Dawson would pick him apart. He MIGHT fight Jones IF Roy gets by Green. I saw Roy spar about 3months ago and he was looking good then. I was there he he took Sheika and he looked sharp then and didn't have a scratch on him afterwards.
I was like little kid meeting Roy then. Taking pictures, getting autographs, asking useless questions. Anyways, Yes I have both Johnson and Dawson over Hopkins. Too bad Zsolt Erdei is the champion.
They're not showing Helenius/Bidenko or Pulev/Olukun? Boooooooo!!! Not worth it now IMO. Booooooo!!!
Haye-Valuev, because it's a more meaningful fight and in boxing's most important division.
The undercard is excellent, with several interesting fights:
Pulev vs. Olouken amazingly tough matchmaking in Pulev's third pro fight
Helenius vs. Bidenko biggest test yet for heavyweigh prospect Helenius
Frenkel vs. Davis the most exciting young cruiserweight in Europe vs. a former world titleholder
Lyakhovich-Bates a former heavyweight titleholder finally returns
Ruiz-Serin I'd love to see an upset in this one!Haye/Valuev isn't a more meaningful fight. Dawson/Johnson is a fight between the two best light heavyweights in the world while Haye/Valuev are barely two top ten contenders. Your absolutely right about the undercard, much better for Haye/Valuev. Except for the fact that Kelvin Davis shouldn't be allowed to fight anymore, Liakhovich and Bates is too much of a miss-match, and I hope John Ruiz spontaneously combust before he gets into the ring. Olokun/Pulev and Helenius/Bidenko are the two fights that have most of my attention on this card. Aggressive matchmaking can make these two youngsters much more prepared for the top if and when they get there.

It's a great undercard and that's why I'll spend the $25 for the PPV. Are you going to order it or watch a stream?...
Haye vs Valuev will be more entartaining
I think so, and here’s why: Valuev is being overlooked for good reason; in the past he’s put in lackluster performance after lackluster persformance, basically just ‘goes through the motions’ and does just enough to win. He lacks the ‘killer instinct’ to throw the big punches and to go for the KO…
However, this fight is different. I think he’s been genuinely offended by David Haye’s disrespectful comments/insults and will try to go out there and KO Haye. How did I come to this conclusion? Valuev has stated that he’ll KO Haye for his disrespectful behavior; Valuev has never made a statement like this before. Also, Valuev has hired a new trainer specifically to work on offensive…
I’ve begrudged-ly watched Valuev fight for the past three years and I’ve always thought to myself- if he would just open up and let his hands go a little more often, he’d be a much more effective fighter and he may KO more of his opponents. I think we’ll see a different Nicolay Valuev on Saturday; we’re going to see a guy who’s fighting with passion and fire in his eyes. We’re going to see him fight with some purpose, and we’re going to see him go after Haye like never before….
