Seriously,
He is so hyped (Khan) but he has to avenge his defeat or I just cant take him seriously, wow you beat an old Barerra who was out of his weight class in a fight that should have been called a NC.
Prescott/Khan 2 anyone??
Enough with the Khan hate. I'd much rather see him fight another JrWW champ than Prescott and to be fair to Khan he has always said he like to rematch Prescott.
Well, if he couldn't take 2 shots that weren't even disguised, what makes you think he has any chance..?
I honestly think he will lose everytime..his chin is yet to be tested, how can you say it has improved?
Khan went in that first fight trying to bang a banger. Prescott isn't that great a fighter but has power.
Khan has a tighter defence and there is a possibility that his chin is better. He had to lose a stone (14lbs) in weight (I think I heard steve bunce say it)for each fight and that is a lot for him considering he doesn't get huge when not training.
His speed is still there, and his movement is better. He doesn't seem to have his power, well atleast his style now means his power doesn't come out because he doesn;t set his feet. That may need to change somehow, but the kid is learning and improving each fight.
Khan is fighting Salita, and then probably Alexander or Maidana. No way does Khan 'need' to fight Prescott again. The fact is, Khan evolved from his defeat to Prescott, and became a better boxer, while Prescott went in the other direction.
or a better matchmaker

And your proof is?

And like I said, once he fights Maidana people will get their long-awaited answer as to whether he can take another hard shot. If he passes that test (what with Maidana being a far better boxer than Prescott, and he beat Kotelnik IMO), maybe people will lay off him a bit.
In fact, I've got this sneaky feeling that from now on Khan will take hard shots on the chin and shrug that shit off as if it were a raindrop. :laff2:
you do know that torrecampo went to prison right?
even if pacquiao wanted a rematch , he'd have had to do an immediate rematch because torrecampo's career ended less than a year later.
Ah well. I didn't have that information at hand.
you do realize that he lost to singsurat at 112 and pacquiao NEVER fought again at 112 since that fight right?
pacquiao lost his flyweight belt at the scales before the singsurat fight. he couldn't make 112. after the loss , pacquiao moved up to junior featherweight. how does a junior featherweight get a fight with a flyweight champion?
Sure. But Khan has also since moved up to 140 (albeit having fought 2 stiffs), and likely will fare better around there because of his height and build. He's majorly tall for a LWW, let alone a LW.
I'm not going to make excuses for him in that he might've been weight drained at 135, but that possibility is there - everyone can have an off night and come to that ring cold or not quite ready for what's waiting for them (Tyson, Lennox, even Prescott himself).
Naz was so hyped but he has to avenge his defeat or I just cant take him seriously, wow he beat a bunch of nobodys and guys over the hill then got exposed against the first great fighter he fought.
To get revenge on a loss, but I think Khans too scared to do that.
Do you realise how dumb that sounds? Pacquiao must've been scared of Torrecampo and Sangsurat, and likewise Tyson didn't go anywhere near Douglas. Hell, even Cotto doesn't seem to want any part of Margarito.
See?

Prescott/Khan 2 anyone??
Get Naz off your avatar.
I'm a fan of both, but by your logic then Naz should not be taken seriously.
Prescott just lost to Miguel Vazquez no way he's getting a shot. He's moving up to 140 and facing Ruslan Provodnikov at the end of November, maybe if he gets past that there might be some hope. But Prescott is just a pure slugger, no boxing skill at all, it just happens to be that huge sluggers are a bad style match up for Khan.
Do you not take Pacquiao seriously because he never rematched Torrecampo and Sangsurat? After all, he lost his 112 title to the latter. Tyson, too, for not rematching Douglas. What a pair of bums eh?
Khan wasn't even champion when he lost to Prezzers, so why should he have to go back and fight him again when Pac never rematched either of his first 2 losses?
This argument that Khan absolutely must face Prescott again is ludicrous. So many holes can be picked apart in that logic. The fact is, if Khan faces Maidana he'll never have to go near Prescott again - it's him getting in the ring with a hard puncher that people really want; not Prescott.
