Dosent get talked about enough around here I feel. Has a record of 18 fights with 14 wins, 1 loss and 3 draws. Reminds me alot of James Toney, with his shoulder defence and his calm and relaxed attitude in the ring. He never had a very big amature background, and learnt his trade in sparring sessions, with the likes of James Toney at the wildcard, he is also trained by Freddie Roach. He once quit boxing, due to frustration of not getting fights. He holds wins over former world champion's Enzo Maccarinelli and Orlin Norris, and also defeated the unbeaten former Golden Gloves Champion Eric Fields. His next fight will be against Marco Huck, for the WBO world title. I really hope he can pull it off, but it's a big ask.

Hes very talented but I fear hes too lazy in the ring to ever become a dominant champion. I hope he doesn't screw up this chance to become world champion. It's just unfortunate that he's in a division that no one save the hardcore boxing fans really care about.

Aa, he was just making excuses, that poor slob. lol.. I remember reading something about Enzo Calzaghe and Frank Warren being at court every day during the training camp for that fight.. but true, it's an excuse either way..

But he still koed Maccarinelli.;) And it was a very nice KO. But I can't really use that to judge his overall KO potential because to me Maccarinelli looked like a shot fighter in that fight, either that or severely undertrained. He did mention something about having no sparring so that could have played a part.

Afolabi seems to be a good boxer, I think he's got a chance against Huck. He only lost to Allan Green in one of his early fights in a 4-round decision. But from his record I noticed Afolabi doesn't seem to be a good KO puncher, he's only got a 33% KO ratio and also he's never been in a 12 round fight.
