All the Judah, Corely, Quintana fights tell you is Cotto is more hittable against southpaws. He can be hit with the right hook coming in. He'll take more chances to land. He'll want to push the fight. He'll lunge in and leave himself open for counters. He'll have to turn southpaw to get better angles.
All of this spells trouble for him against Pacquiao. That's why I just can't see him winning.
cotto should beat up pac easier.... pac is alot smaller than judah
Been smaller doesnt loses you fight, Its been good enough and if the smaller man who also has more advantage than the bigger man like speed and making him drain weight to come down is good enough then the smaller refresh man(Paqcuiao) should win.
You sound like a moron. Pac isnt slower. If anything he is faster or the same.
The Judah fight shouldnt be used as a measuring stick for Pacman..
1. Pac moves his head, Judah doesnt
2. Pac is smart, Judah is dumb
3. Pac has blazing footspeed, Judah has normal footspeed
4. Pac throws combos, Judah throws 1 punch at a time
5. Pac has Roach, Judah has his dumb daddy
6. Pac doesnt get tired, Judah is a 4 round fighter
And lets not forget Judah had not fought in over a year ( i dont count that 2 minute fight with a tomato can as work)
Great points.
Just cause it's 2 fast southpaws, doesn't mean they're not very different.
I thought Judah did pretty well the first few rounds. He had Cotto hurt bad at one point, just couldn't finish him (Cotto is a hard, hard guy to put down, and even harder to keep down). After the low blows (unintentional on Cotto's part...he'd just had his bell rung badly and was throwing fairly wild at times), I can also understand Judah gassing a little, and not having as much mustard on his shots....getting your nuts blasted like that takes alot out of you. Been there, never pleasant.
Anyway, to my point: I think Pacman and his camp know they're in for a fight. Whether they can overcome Cotto's ruggedness (without using Plaster of Paris), power and ability, remains to be seen. It will probably take Manny fighting a different fight than he ever has in the past. I think he'll need to get in quick to do his work, using a lead left and a hook upstairs to score, and then get the **** back out before Cotto can counter to the body. If he can do this consistantly, he should skate to a decision with relative ease, probably taking 7 or 8 rounds. If he can't, then he's going to be catching alot of body shots from Cotto, and with Manny's size disadvantage, and Cotto's bodywork expertise, Manny could end up slowed down enough in later rounds (after 7 or 8) that he gets caught by Miguel and KO'd.
In my opinion, it's a pick'em fight, and could easily go any number of ways. I won't be putting even a penny on this one.
Absolutely ridiculous.

you had a few correct points, but...
Pac doesnt have head movement, his defense is still not that good..
Pac is not dumb, but he certaintly isnt one of the smartest fighters out there.. anyone with a solid jab and some sort of technical skill can outbox him
Pac definitely moves his head for the most part. When he gets hit, its usually a counter or him trading or leaving himself open.

We need to realize that Mayweather(welterweight) won easily against Marquez(lightweight). Yes, Marquez who honestly beat pacquiao once, maybe twice. Hatton did way better against mayweather than pacquiao, so maybe Hatton went into fight with wrong training or left himself open too much but very strange. Hoping Pacquiao team/fans are not using hatton fight as a barometer in fighting Cotto.....nah, let them....lol
Cotto LOVES fighting those "fast" fighters. He starts out slow, you might see 1-2 low blows and then cotto destroys the fighter, with the exception of Mosley, who just happened to destroy Margarito. Also, if cotto has the chin to take Margarito and clottey shots, who both seem to be middleweights, he can take a pacquiao punch...punches.

there was alot of damage done downstairs in that fight.. (low blows)
Cotto might want to implore that strategy against pacquiao
to quote jack loew "you better touch those ****in nuts!!"
This fight is the best comparison for the Pac-Cotto fight, but Pac is simply better than Judah, though probably not as strong. Biggest difference is that unlike Judah, Pacquiao gets better as the fight goes on instead of losing his head after the first few rounds.
Damn shame Judah could never get it together.
Pac is also slower and has much less punching power than zab too

theres no thinking.
pac's power is overrate. hes not nearly as strong of a puncher as cotto, zab or anyone.
people are letting hatton who stood there waiting for the punch deceive them
we would come back here at nov. 15, and read again your post, that will answer your point that pac's power is overrated.
