Actually, Roach has said this before they fought. Roach: hatton/manny pre-fight. "Ricky hattons strengths, he has none" "we should take care of him in 3" but...This is Roach comparing Hatton to Manny. I think if he was comparing him to another boxer he wouldnt have said the same.

What got me when he said that was what he said right after. He was talking about how proud he was of Manny and himself for that night. I am not saying he should not be proud but if he is saying the guy he was fighting was not that good what is there to be that proud of. It is the old Chris Rock thing he did what he was supposed to do to an overmatched foe. It just struck me as odd for him to shit on Hatton in one breathe then talk about how proud he was of that victory.

But he wasn't that good (Roach on Ricky Hatton). Will Freddy say the same thing about Cotto during the Pacquiao vs Mayweather 24/7? what makes you think pacquiao gonna win?

Roach was saying more after that, but HBO edited it out. He's right though, Hatton wasn't good that night at all but you're only as good as your opponent lets you be and Pac deserves the praise.
