Listen mofo's before you jump on this shit;
Prime Hatton would have beaten the hell out of Pac at 140lb.
The guy who Pac sparked out wasnt half the man that he once was: the chin, his strength, his conditoning, his reflexes, punsh power/variety all has deteriorated.
As for PBF - He's straight up just the better man, but a prime Hatton would not have been stopped. Even though he still gave Mayweather his toughest fight...even Harold Leaderman only had Ricky down by two rounds at the time of the stoppage.
Pac had more fights than Ricky with more wars, Is just as old and naturally smaller. PAC kayoes Ricky 100 out of 100 fights.
Accept it mate.
simple fact. Floyd destroyed Hatton and Pac fought someone who is garage and was serverely weathered b/c of FLoyd.
again. people said Hatton needed to retire after losing to floyd. mind you this was hattons very first loss.
so what does that say? it says that people saw floyd puninshed hatton badly and knew hatton would not be the same after than fight
What are you thinking? Floyd may have taken some confidence from Hatton, but he came back to win 2 fights. He looked good against Malignaggi which is why people thought he would beat Pac. Floyd outclassed Hatton, but destroyed? You can't compare that fight to something like Trinidad-Vargas (which would ruin most careers). But this knockout came from accumulation of punches and mostly exhaustion, while Manny literally mopped the floor with him in 2 rounds.
The only two guys who said Hatton should retire after the Floyd fight were you and Floyd himself. I've never heard that sh!t from anyone else. Hatton never even thought of retirement, until Pacquiao knocked him out. Why would Hatton still want a rematch with Floyd, but not Pac? Because he did better in that fight and he still hasn't watched his fight with Pac yet? Now tell me who Hatton is haunted by?
castillo gave floyd his toughest fight---that's it...and harold was smoking to have hatton down by 2 points---add to this floyd was dancing with the stars while training--on iron fist--and he still dominated and knocked out hatton---and this is a hatton who didn't want to fight floyd at 140---hatton's best weight and his prime weigt---i mean wasn't hatton at the gatti figh---he was as well as cotto---and they witnessed a beating of a lifetime and neither one of them wanted any parts of floyd---hatton even came out and admitted this as well as his father---aty 140---really--nobody wanted a part of floyd---maybe except gatti and we all know what happened there---hatton was the ring magazine championof th jr. welterweight division and he just beat kosta a month before the gatti fight with floyd and he knew not to fight floyd----floyd called him out so many times and even said he would go to england to fight him---hatton wasn't ready yet---and from the look of things---neither was wrigt, mosley, de la hoya, kosta, and cotto----imo floyd was at his most dangerous at 140---but he moved up for bigger and better things---hatton lost to pac and floyd because he wasn't good enough to beat them---that's all....
WTF is this pile of mess. :?!:
He underestimated the power of both fighters.
And they say a fool always makes the same mistake twice....!
Id say in the Pac & Floyd fight he let his emotion/excitement get the better of him and walked right into the line of fire. Moreso in the Pac fight he just went after him for no good reason. Not smart. The Floyd fight he was getting annoyed with the ref and ended up getting more aggressive and walked into a heavy hook. Not to say he wasnt outclassed on both occasions but did win some rounds vs Floyd and almost had him down in round one.
aww their they are,not as many as i expected i must say
because hatton was an overrated, under talented hype job with a padded record and a glass jaw......
and they were both better than him.....

Prime Hatton?? AHAHAHA! So Hatton wasnt his prime when he fought Pacquiao? cmon he's 30 years old and only lost 2 fight.....thats just an excuse to hide that he was overrated Bum.....and he didnt gave Gayweather his "toughest fight" maybe a fight he's not use to fighting..... Why is it when he goes up against someone with superior skills than him he starts fighting dirty? The reason why is because he doesnt have the ability to beat them so he changes his game plan and starts holding and hitting and landing illegal blows..When Hatton fights bums he shows his best performance but when he fought two A-level fighters he just gets exposed
yes but it would have been 4 rounds or 5 come the end of the 12 if he wasn't counting the KO round, once Mayweather got into his rhythm they were a class apart.
personally i'd say ODLH gave mayweather his toughest fight.castillo gave floyd his toughest fight---that's it...and harold was smoking to have hatton down by 2 points---add to this floyd was dancing with the stars while training--on iron fist--and he still dominated and knocked out hatton---and this is a hatton who didn't want to fight floyd at 140---hatton's best weight and his prime weigt---i mean wasn't hatton at the gatti figh---he was as well as cotto---and they witnessed a beating of a lifetime and neither one of them wanted any parts of floyd---hatton even came out and admitted this as well as his father---aty 140---really--nobody wanted a part of floyd---maybe except gatti and we all know what happened there---hatton was the ring magazine championof th jr. welterweight division and he just beat kosta a month before the gatti fight with floyd and he knew not to fight floyd----floyd called him out so many times and even said he would go to england to fight him---hatton wasn't ready yet---and from the look of things---neither was wrigt, mosley, de la hoya, kosta, and cotto----imo floyd was at his most dangerous at 140---but he moved up for bigger and better things---hatton lost to pac and floyd because he wasn't good enough to beat them---that's all....
Paulie gave Cotto alot of trouble. Also Paulie is known to have a great chin.
I dont give a damn about Cotto.
In anycase I was talking about the Paulie who turned up for the Hatton fight, and was just pointing out to the original poster that if the Prime Ricky fought that version he would have wrecked him.
Hatton is the most over rated fighter who came out from the Island. He's a product of the British media hype machine...
Hype doesnt win fights.
Ricky Hatton;
2005 Ring Magazine Fighter of the year
2 times IBF LW Champion
WBA LW Champion
WBA WW Champion
Amongst others.......
Pac KO's any version of hatton.. Simply because of his style.. That hatton that pac KTFO was coming off an impressive win against malignaggi.
A prime Hatton would have taken Paulie out within 6.
He lost to both because he simply isn't as good as either. Even with full respect for both Mayweather and Pacquiao he wouldn't have been able to beat either.
He underestimated the power of both fighters.
And they say a fool always makes the same mistake twice....!
I think he overestimated his own power...
and skill...
and footwork...
and speed...
and strength.
Name it and he overestimated it. The guy believed his own hype. He thought he was between 1 & 3 P4P.

People need to get over it. Floyd and Pac are just simply better than him. If he didn't underestimate their power (which I think he did), they still would have beat the hell out of him. He probably would have been stopped rather than laying on the floor. Hatton wasn't that much better in his prime. He was a great fighter, but there's not much from his prime that shows me that he had enough skills to hang with future legends like Floyd or Pac. I don't think he was that badly shot. He had great power, speed, and reflexes against the faster and skilled Malignaggi. And despite having a deteriorated chin, I believe he was only down against Mayweather and Pacquiao (could be wrong).
He is not overrated, just an over-achiever who took it as far as he could with his skills. Just remember Pac is not an older Castillo or Tszyu and Floyd is not Ray Oliveria.
