This time I scored the rounds, I had it 116-112 for Dirrell. He clearly won that fight for me, there were some close rounds near the start, the first 2 were hard to score. Dirrell won the Championship rounds, he turned Froch's legs to spaghetti in round 10 and stunned him again in the 11th while making Froch look silly with the missing shots.
Excellent win for Dirrell, shame the judges robbed him.
arhhh someone's trying to impress their american internet buddies by saying Dirrell won the fight. So when does puberty kick in for you? Cos then hopefully you'll grow some balls.
Right, ok.

I know what Dirrell did to make the fight closer then it should have been but what did Froch do to make it a close fight?
To win the fight a fighters has to do something and Froch did zero in taht fight and saying Dirrell fought a piss poor way is not really saying why Froch won because Froch had to do something.
Dirrell threw away the fight with a bad gameplan, a bad attitude and inactivity.
Crotch lost the fight by getting outsped, outboxed, befuddled and outpunched by a green prospect.
Some woefull scoring in this thread. Dirrell did nothing to win the fight.
he landed the cleaner and more punches than Crotch. Crotch couldn't have landed more than 15 clean punches the whole fight.
I genuinely would have scored the fight rather even, less the point deduction for Dirrell (which i didnt agree with) just edging it to Froch. The thing is which i would consider very important when judging, is that the close nothing rounds where nothing really happened (mainly 1&2) you would have to back the aggressor Froch. Reminiscent of Dela Hoya v Mayweather, People were sayin Hoya should have took the rounds even when not landing, how is this any different? Its double standards.
I was at the fight and have re-watched it. Dirrell did impress me but he jus didnt go that extra mile for the strap, he frustrated the hell out of Froch and myself so props to him for that, but if he was awarded the decision then i think there would be the same sort of response/case from Froch fans, it was a very over cautious performance, worthy of takin the most prestigious title in boxing? i really dont think so.
I must say he has definitely got my attention and i take my hat off to his sportsmanship at the end he was graceful in the way he took the decision.
He can take a punch for sure aswell, when Froch lands its a real thud so whether or not there clean shots, they still do damage!
Froch is going to have to up his game in Denmark lets hope ward can soften this Viking up a bit! I do honestly think he will have more success in landing against Kessler it will be a real brawl so looking forward to it.
Im new to the forum so be gentle!
Dirrell is the truth
First fight past 10 rounds, and versus world class oppositiion on a large state.
He rose to the occasion....Won....Got robbed.....and was still classy about it.
Dude is the truth hes gonna be a beast for years to come.
Dirrell was green and rose to the occasion reminscent of some of the old school legends when they faced their first stern test. The referee should have been pistol whipped for not taking any points from Froch with all of the rabbit punching, holding and hitting, etc. Reminded me of when G-man fought Benn. Dirrell doesn't have to hold his head down with this loss though. I expect him to be ready for anything these non skilled, bush league clubfighters have to offer.
It really was not that close of a fight, Dirrell should have done more though he had the oppurtunity and left to much up to interpretation that is never a good idea in the other guys hometown (when the crowd is roaring at punches that are not landing).
