Why can brits claim all of europe but americans cant claim all of North America?

It's Americans who create the distinction with their 'Eurobum' jibes. Brits don't normally want to be associated with Europe in anything, we stand alone, but when it comes to boxing Americans lump us all in together so, so be it, take your medicine when you lose to a superior continent.

Americans are SOOOOOO biased in almost everything. Take for example the medals table in last olympics in beijing, USA took home 110 medals and just as an example Britain took 47. USA has about 5 times the population of the UK but did they win 5 times the medals? No, Its all about relativity, just because you are one of the biggest countries and win a lot of medals doesnt necessarily mean you are doing great, this could apply to other smaller countries too. I recently saw an american listing american football as a sport that americans dominate LOL, its all about domination to them, but they dont see the FACTS :drive: Im not saying that america doesnt do well at sport, they do mostly but they dont do nearly as well as they think they do (baseball for example any1)

Because we are the greatest country and that would be unfair. Doesn't matter though. Stack up the best Europeans and let them fight the best Americans. More time than not America has won throughout history. The world is jealous of our success in world competition and that's how it will always be. And? Schools in Britain have never taught boxing. Stupid excuses because the rest of the world is finally catching up to America in boxing training and equipment. When the rest of the world finally overtakes America you can invent American boxing and you can have a world tournament with only America in it. :lol1: No, you guys just reinvented the sport so what's the reason now? The Soviet Union {now former} has had boxing for a long time as well as many countries throughout history. It's just about it being alive or not in that current time and giving opportunity out. Things come and go. Poverty and very few options for the lower-class were key in helping US prosper in boxing. With an increased economy, increased options, there is less of chance of certain things (like boxing) prospering. Example: Why go into boxing where it is a way of life when you can go into Football and if you don't make it Pro, well, you still may have a scholarship there for you so you can get a furthered education. If you stay with boxing, and that is it, what do you do now? Things like that. Things change. Take food for example: Parents, mainly Mothers, used to stay home and cook and take care of kids (on the lower-low middle class level mainly). Now, fewer households have that so fast-food tends to be the option and other things in family life. I know of parents that won't even let their kids play outside because they fear they will be shot. That fear wasn't with my parents when I was growing up which wasn't to long ago. Changes of life.

You have to understand that America spends tons of money on football baseball and basketball. Boxing is almost nonexistent outside of major cities. You have basketball baseball and football in gym class but they do not teach boxing at schools like they did back in the old days when boxing was the #2 sport, pre NFL football. I live in a city of 150,115 people and I'd have to drive around 20 miles to find the nearest boxing gym. And? Schools in Britain have never taught boxing.
