Calzaghe had several opportunities to Fight Froch, but chose the easy option instead.Anybody that thinks Froch would beat Calzaghe is more deluded than froch himself ! Calzaghe would beat the whiskers off of Froch IMO !...and i have changed my mind because if last nights performance is anything to go by ...i would say froch is the least likely to the tournament !

Neither of these fighters would ever beat Calzaghe, but I'd give Froch more of a chance by way of KO - no chance on points. Dirrell stood toe to toe with Froch several times.He did but it wasn't consistent enough ...allthough IMO Dirrel won that fight cause Froch was dog poo :boxing:

Yep styles make fights and fast boxers trouble Froch's style , Hopkins Calzaghe Dirrell JT etc .Puts me in mind of Margarito a bit with the solid chin but gets troubled of fast hands. I'm looking forward to the Froch Abraham Kessler fights tho because we'll probably get a war.

Really? Well he'll have to up his punch-out-put by 99 punches a round. The positive however is that Dirrell, unlike Calzaghe, isn't afraid of planes. But he is afraid. (cheap shot) I think Dirrell could up that workrate. Understandably he was cautious in his first championship fight against a strong 12-round-fighter who he probably wasn't going to knock out and who had come of a 12th round KO victory. Dirrell is pretty sensible really, though that probably cost him.

Calzaghe would have decisioned Froch easily. The only risk would have been if he got careless.. as he did do against both Jones and B-Hop.

Joe should have fought him for shits and giggles. There is simply no way Carl Froch would have beaten Calzaghe if he fought him every single day of the year. 120-108 Calzaghe. Calzaghe would embarrass Froch on the inside. Froch can't seem to do anything in close but throw illegal punches. Froch is a hard bastard, but Calzaghe would have fun with him. Froch must be the identikit Calzaghe opponent: he's aggressive, he's slow, he's hittable.
