The dirrell/froch fight was horrible...on so many levels...style played the biggest part...but for people to say that dirrell lost because he "ran", it tells me that they really don't understand boxing...apparently they need to go and watch some mma or dog fighting...go watch a Nicholas Cage movie if boxing is too boring for you...

dirrell stunk out the joint and needs to learn to take advantage of his speed and athleticism more... but he won that fight.

good point i also dont like dirrells style of fighting but he clearly won that fight froch didnt do enough to win and was actually stunned at one point he was made to look amateur.
It's not just Mayweather and Dirrell. People were annoyed when Calderon ran from Mayol. People were annoyed when Donaire ran from Concepcion (although some give him a pass for it since Concepcion came in overweight and Donaire hurt his right hand).
You can't change human nature. The general public has limited time and resources to spend watching sporting events, so when they do watch, they want to see drama, excitement, they want to be entertained. That won't change no matter what hardcore boxing fans say.
BTW I only saw the first 5 rounds of Dirrell-Froch (fell asleep after the fifth, woke up when they were interviewing Froch). I thought Dirrell was winning easily, but it doesn't change the fact that it was not very entertaining.
I thought that maybe it was just mayweather....I know a lot of peoples bowels get loose and they feel an overwhelming amount of hatred when they see him on the screen...but like I've said before...if you were a boxer and you could chose one style...I bet all my money you'd chose mayweather...but dirrell was extremely elusive...too much at times...but it's still defense...and he was still landing 20 times the amount of punches that froch was landing...but it's as if all logic flys out the window with people...emotion takes over and they lose all boxing judgement when it cones to scoring bouts like this...maybe they never had any judgemental skills to begin with...I don't know...
