How can you be defending that 12 round girly dance of Dirrell's?
Are you not men, don't you want to see a fight?
Or have you all turned into tinkerbelles?
If everyone fought like Dirrell and Mayweather, no one would watch boxing. Judges can't keep rewarding people who don't want to fight, that's just killing the money and the sport.
look at their war history.viet nam.korea & now thw middle east.they have all the weapons & fire power but they cant seem to win.arrogance & no respect for their opponents.in boxing its the same.it leads to defeat!
no, we don't like all the running, but dirrell landed more punches, thereby winning the fight and getting robbed.
I agree with you Pull! :boxing: In Dirrell's previous fight, he looked a hell of a lot better. I didn't like all the running he did with Foch either, but thought he edged it out. I think the ref favoured Froch. And the scorecards of 115-113 were a little off, imo.
wow just wow.... Floyd showed pure brilliance in that fight... He fought an inside fight... HE FOUGHT HATTONS FIGHT HE BEAT RICKY HATTON WITH HIS OWN STYLE... Lmao
lol, Floyd didnt fight an inside fight. He clinched up close and pot shotted at distance. He only opened up on the inside half way through the fight when Hatton was frustrated and lost focus.
Great performance by Floyd, but i disagree he fought Hattons fight.
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! These people just loathe when Mayweather or Dirrell are evasive, but when Vitali Klitschko or his brother do it-these same people hail them as legends. To those people,it is about Europe against American nationalities-not sports. Most of these clowns don't appreciate BOXING,they just wanna see 2 unskilled pub brawlers maul each other like animals-not atheletes.
Floyd is revered by boxing fans as being one of the greatest defensive boxers ever. Vitali has one of the biggest KO ratio's of any fighter ever. He also out works and out scores his opponents, whilst trying to land the big KO punch.
From what ive seen Dirrell fought a very ugly fight. He may have won, but his reluctance to fight at all with Froch, or even throw decent punches, means people are critical of that style.
His constant holding and running is ridiculous, and very different from Vitali and Floyd.
The only fight against an American was a fix with the ref's protection and clear bias to another boxer who didn't want to fight. And stop riding on the coat-tails of Filipino land for the other one. The classless yank wannabe thug Mayweather is yours, the classy gentleman Pacquiao is from thousands of miles away on another continent.
Your still bitter? Come on now mate, just accept that the better guy won.
only reason Froch hit him behind the head (and I think it was more on the side) was because the fker kept ducking down to avoid having to trade
Sounds like an excuse to act unprofessional.Do you think he should have been deducted a point?
I thought boxing was a form of controlled aggression, but Carl had no control and couldn't change the pace of the fight-sounds like a champion to me...lol
Maybe Andre have learned something and use this as an advantage in his next fight.
If Andre learned anything,it was probably not to fight on UK soil if you are American (hell even Australian),because the English don't give a fair shake in the first place. They wanna see rough and tumble fighting, not the sport called boxing.
How can anyone say this about Dirrell, but not Vitali K?
He didn't want to stand toe to toe and brawl,
what's wrong with that?
He felt he'd do better outpointing Froch, and I think he did personally.

he did actually, but he also threw some sneaky big shots in just after the ref would break them up. Without the ref's intervention he would never have got them off

Im still wondering why Froch wasn't docked a point for his own spoiling tactics-like throwing or hitting behind the head several times.Anyone who would justify Froch winning ask yourselves who looked in control of the fight-was Froch (the "champion") able to fight his fight or was Dirrell able to fight his....

Ohh i got no beef with the point deduction. I think the ref should have done it a lot sooner. Add the fact that he never OFFICIALLY WARNED Dirrell for holding created the excessive holding.
If he officially warned dirrell for holding then took a point away before round 6 or 7 maybe we would have had a much aesthetically pleasing fight to watch.
That being said, Dirrell was so far up in the scorecard (the rightful honest scorecard) that the point deduction shouldnt have mattered.

Damn... Floyd Pitty-Patted the f*ck outta Hatton then LMAO

What did Froch do for the first two rounds? Why did he stay far away, and refuse to throw a single punch?
What the hell was Froch so afraid of?
Oh yeah, it must have been those wicked fast shots that almost knocked him TFO later on!
Froch chased the shit outta him for 9/10 rounds, kid just kept running and only fought back properly (none of the hit and run stuff) when the ref took a point off.
I partially agree with you actually... the whole skirting the ropes thing never looks good...racehorse style defense just doesn't impress a crowd like other types of defense.
But.... Dirrell did box, inbetween his episiodes of, shall we say, "discretion" :lol1:
He had a nice crisp jab in there...and I was actually most impressed with him when he was throwing his hands..some nice combinations, good speed and accuracy.
Kid's got definite potential..its a shame he suffered a loss so early in his career..but maybe its for the best.
I scored the fight to Dirrell by a round, but I understand why the judges didn't give it to him. You can't reward that kind of all out running. A loss isn't that big a deal to him, a lot of raw material to work with but does need to actually fight from the bell as opposed to the last two rounds.
Whats the similarity between a bitch and american boxer?
They both enjoy making a payday lying on their backs :D

At least Taylor went nearly 12 with Abraham- a lot further than Froch will last.
sorry bud but there's little difference. Only noticeable difference is Mayweather throws more but it's only pitty patty stuff. See ODLH fight, one man wanted to fight, the other wanted to run.
Damn... Floyd Pitty-Patted the f*ck outta Hatton then LMAO
this mofo wouldn't fcukin engage at all until like the last 3 rounds, that's not boxing, that's running and it robs the crowd and paying viewers and the sport of its credibility.

If anybody was being gay and fighting similar to that, it was Dirrell. Froch tried everything he could to make it a fight, but Dirrell turned it into a track meet and a hug fest like you are referring to. Don't get mad at this post, because like I said, I had Dirrell winning the fight myself. But Dirrell is not that good, and his style is horrible to watch. Froch is crude as fuck, but at least he tries to fight.
Agree.
Although I think Dirrell is better than "not that good." He definitely has the ability as far as technique and athleticism to be a good fighter but he needs to put it together through 12 rounds and in every fight. He may need someone to kick his ass in gear. He fought better after the point deduction.
I like a good fight...but I also appreciate boxing.
Hell, I even appreciate defense quite alot, when its done aesthetically.

Dirrell and PBF are worlds apart. PBF makes defense look good, and even entertains with it. Dirrell, not so much.
Yeah, while I think Dirrell did win the fight, I can't believe how many people are talking like he was so impressive.
The constant holding on for dear life in the middle rounds, and the slipping to the canvas without being touched was just pathetic. He looked terrible.
Froch was even worse though lol
