He may withdraw now...here the excerpt below..
Hey guys, I'm back. That was Lou DiBella on the phone from Germany.
Dan Rafael
(11:02 PM)
Lou said Jermain had a severe concussion and is in the hospital for precautionary reasons. He has had short term memory loss. Lou said he'll stay in the hospital for several days as a precaution. No decision has been made about his future in the tournament.
Walter (LA, CA)
What do you think will happen with Jermain?
Dan Rafael
(11:04 PM)
Really don't know but I actually think he'll probably withdraw now.
Mike Hawk (NYC)
if Taylor cannot continue who is in line to take his place?
Dan Rafael
(11:04 PM)
Probably Allan Green.
Yeah that's ****ed up, I actually didn't think the fight would end that way.
It's also ****ed up because I think JT has great skills and I really like to see him fight, but I don't want to see him seriously hurt...
Hell yea, that shit ****ed with my nerves even though i knew he wasnt gonna win. I was just hoping he wouldnt get ktfo like that. Shit hurt my stomach for a sec.
im the same way...i cried when he got kod by pavlik and froch (i witnessed this one live)
fukk i never get sadder when some1 loses than JT! seeing his dissapointed puppy dog face..i feel like i got ktfo! anyone feel the same?

For all the punishment I've seen Jermain take, and punches that he didn't see coming, that punch shouldn't have knocked him out. I think it's more Jermian's career coming to an end, because i think he is getting knocked out way too easy and he is getting a concussion too easily. I want him to retire
It was a straight right from a heavy puncher square on the chin, and he didn't see it coming. A shot like that will knock almost anyone out. The point of the chin is the worst place to get hit because it provides the most leverage to slam the brain into the back of the skull, which is what causes KOs and concussions.

it wasn't even that good of a punch.. don't know how it got him a concussion
Not that good of a punch? Abraham can bang, and it was a very hard straight right, exactly on the button. I'm surprised he wasn't out cold for several minutes, and he probably would've been if he hadn't been in probably the best shape of his career.
Anyway, he'll be fine. The short term memory loss is normal from a concussion injury like that (know this from personal experience), he'll be fine tomorrow, but probably won't ever remember what happened...might not even remember the last round or two. It happens.

Jermain didn't see it coming, and those punches are are often the ones that turn your lights off.
I was rooting for Taylor big time.
Good luck, Jermain.

Wasn't a good punch...you wanna take his place in receiving that mang?
Yea Taylor should step aside. I mean I think he still could have a shot beating Ward Dirrell Froch..dunno about Kessler yet...if he didn't get KOed like this. But hopefully he has been smart financially if he does retire.
Hope Jermain retires now.
I'm not suggesting that Jermain is not suffering from a concussion, but I wonder if this sort of things helps him release from the chains of the contract. Maybe a fighter can only get out if they have concerns over health or guarantee they want to retire. That constitutes a legitimate exit maybe.
Like could a fighter just say, screw this I'm done with this tournament and go fight somewhere else. They would be in some legal trouble no doubt.
Lou Di Bella's remarks in Fight Camp 'Allen Green is available' comes back to bite him. I was thinking last night it would be really ironic if it did. Terrible.
I'm just talking mindless nonsence. Its 6.30am and I'm upset!
I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Taylor retire after this. The ending to most fighters' careers is sad and disappointing, and this would be no exception, but it's better to get out while you can still feed yourself make it to the bathroom without help from a nurse's aid. Taylor has his young kids to think about.
Plus I'm not sure I can handle watching any more of his fights, especially if/when he goes on to fight Kessler. It's like watching a train wreck when one of your friends is on board.
Who was the idiot that suggested JT as a one of the participants in the tournament ?
He shouldn't have been here in the 1st place, it's not a Super 6 without Pascal and Bute, two champions in the division. It's a fraud to call it super 6 and 2 non champions are participating, Dirrell and Taylor.
Pascal has a LHW belt, genius.

I dont think Pascal can make 168 anymore. But Bute was a good replacement for JT.
