Juanma Lopez, diss & bash thread...

Het got KO on his feet in after the bell rang in the 9th round because of it. Watch it, Mtagwa hits him and he looked like Luevano against Bernabe, but the difference is that he didnt went down!! yeahh man!!! he got hit after the bell rang like 3 times..... the ref should have done something about it.. but at the end.. PROTECT YOUR SELF ALL THE TIME!!!! thats juanma's flaw... not any ref or anything... GOD PLEASE HIM... ENLIGHT HIS MIND AND LET HIM KNOW THAT HE NEEDS A NEW CORNER A REAL CORNER!! :lol1:

The heart is definitely different, but they share the same attitude about dropping their defense against fighters they shouldn't drop their defense against. TRUE MAN... juanma got hit flush like 12 times .. for this shit!! every time he got hit because of this flaw i was like :pat: mother f uc ker when are you going to realize this... PROTECT YOUR SELF ALL THE TIMES!! He cant afford to get hit flush like that and not feel the effects!!

But yea, he should have fought a smarter fight, but thats what happens when you're so used to just running through dudes in 1 round. You meet a guy who lasts that round, and another, and another and another until you realize, "oh shit, hes taking it and hitting back". Chalk it up to a learning experience. I'm certain we'll see a much more reserved Juanma next time out. and an experienced, world class corner won't hurt either.

Juanma has to show me something before I pick him over gamboa again He has to show me much better defense, he fought very poorly against his opponent. I know sometimes fighters have bad nights, but that was a really bad night. I think if Juanma had a rematch with Rogers he'd school Rogers and maybe stop him. He fought Rogers fight and almost lost because of it. The fight where who has the bigger balls so lets drop our defense and fight like toughmen. He is lucky he didn't end up like Ortiz. agree!!! that was a big mistake by juanma.. and his corner wernt professional enough to make him realize this!!! :boxing: with that being said.. you cant mention or compare the heart and determination of juanma to victor's.... the differences its from the earth to the moon! :boxing:

Juanma didn't fight his best fight, but he was in against a tough, tough guy. It wasn't pretty, but he did win. He deserves a great amount of respect for willing himself to stay up those last two rounds and that alone shows hes got incredible heart. I thought for sure he would go down in the 12th if not get stopped, but really, that was a valiant effort for him to stay up on his feet. That will carry over with him in future fights. He has that in his reserves if necessary. Another thing I noticed, hes got that warrior mentality to start slugging it out when he gets rocked. I'll tell you one thing though, Juanma ain't no bitch and he ain't no quiter. 99.9% of fighters would have given up in that last round and went down or stayed in a corner taking punishment so the ref could bail their ass out. Juamma is a true bad-ass, I don't know how he made it out of that round. My girlfriend watched part of the last round and was saying "how haven't they stopped that fight? WTF??" he showed alot of heart and didnt quit, thats good enough for me. should we bash gatti and ward for being in wars? how about vazquez or marquez? corrales or castillo?

Everyone is an armchair quarterback, sometimes sh*t just dont go as planned. Juanma survived a tough fight and I'm sure he's learned something that will benifit his whole career. Maybe he did over look Mtagwa but lots of young stars have made the same mistake, two of Golden Boy's young guns recently recieved their wake up call. The important thing is that he didnt quit when he was in a real war. In a fight anything can happen and he showed alot of heart when the fight wasnt going his way. Nothing but respect from me.

i was at the fight last night at the garden very close to the ring as well. Gamboa's speed was phenomenal. Juanma looked very slow and his punches didnt have much sting behind them. If Juanma moves up in weight to fight gamboa being that gamboa is the WBA 126 lb champ, i doubt his punches will have any affect on Gamboa. I'd say Gamboa takes this one easily.

Juanma fell in love with his power already guys. He fought the dumbest possible fight he could against a stronger guy. His technique has to improve, never seen Juanma off balance and screaming to get hit like last night, having said that, he was ready to go out in a shield! LOL at those who say he's the next Tito thou.
