How many of you chose Pavlik to beat Hopkins?

Of course, I picked Pavlik. BHOP was 2-3 prior and I thought age was going to catchup soon. Was I wrong. This man is a machine and gave the Middleweight champ a sound boxing lesson. Bhop is a robot and he might just ko RJJ. Might, so no hate please.

I viewed it as a toss up fight. But I had this funny feeling that Hopkins was going to solve Pavlik's one trick pony style. And boy, did he ever. He made that kid look like an ameatur.

The question should be who actually picked hopkins to win? Very few people on this site did. That fight won me the bulk of my e-points :) Me too, I had a bet with Reed. Reed lost a LOAD of E-points on that fight.

I would have bet my life Pavlik was going to grind down Hopkins and KO him with his workrate and punching power after how close Calzaghe was to getting Hopkins out of there. please man a blown up middleweight fighting a good natural lightheavy who is gonna rehydrate up to 190 after the weigh-in? pavlik looked stuck in the mud all fight...made hopkins look like srl....you shoulda saw that coming...pavlik and calzaghe are two different classes of fighter...

I was thinking Pavlik was taking on Hop right at the right time to win. The day before the fight I though well you know Pavlik is the exact style that works out perfectly for Bernard to whoop some ass. I just had that in my head though and still thought Pavlik would win. I didnt get to see it live just the replay and I think the Pavlik camp was crazy thinking they would be the first to knock out hopkins. Come on now no one knocks out hopkins. Either way I still like Pav and am rooting for him to win in December.

:crucified I had Pavlik winning by brutal KO so I was very wrong. Watching the fight as it progressed was just awesome. Watching that old dog schooling a pup was thrillingly awesome.

I can't lie after seeing what Pavlik did to Edison and Taylor, I thought he was going to wipe the floor with B-Hop. I can remember clearly being in the Casino watching this fight in complete shock because Hopkins not only won he beat the hell out of Pavlik.

I picked BHop, based on Pavlik being totally flatfooted and requireing his jab to be a rangefinder. Thats way to easy a style for someone as smart as BHop not be be able to negate. Edit. Actually just looked at what i said. I said that pavlik couldn't handle anyone with lateral movement because he rely's on his jab so much.

Funny thing, Hopkins was praised for his complete domination, but others who dominated in similar fashion are criticized. Except no one has dominated him like he dominated Pavlik.

I did.. To be honest I didn't think old Bhop could take Pavlik's punches. I lost mad loot that night too. All props to Bhop.

I thought Pavlik would get a close, controversial decision. Hopkins deserves credit for the performance. I always thought Pavlik was shite though.
