So if Amir Khan drinks lots of milk and does chin pushups he'll get a granite beard? :?!::?!:
There are china chins and Wayne McCullough chins, and everything in between.
BUT - You are still developing into your early 20's, so it's quite feasible to get knocked out when you are younger and develop a stronger chin as you finish developing.
My little brother told me, last time at the dentist he was asked if he boxes, cause of his strong bonestructure and solid chin/teeth. But I dont know if he can take a good shut, because he never fought somebody. But I think, a dentist can also tell you something.
Conerning my chin, I got a very good one. It was tested several times, taking kicks in the face from guys or taking big punches I never see coming (always in a state of drunkenness).
I think your're born with it. Either you have it or you don't. Margo use to do those chin push ups, but I think he was born with an iron chin. I don't think it can be trained, just like speed.
You can train and condition neck muscles...and the jaw ect...
but to me its mostly about willpower...Ultimately, you don't go to sleep unless you choose to.. Now a well placed brutal fist crushing your face can make not choosing to sleep seem impossible..but those with the best "chins" that I have met (and humbly, myself) also have something that they strive to fight for... like a person, or ideal..they have heart and determination, and are resolved to die in the ring if need be...
You might find some hope in that David Tua and Mike McCallum were stopped in the amateurs but were "granite-jawed" as pros.
Felix Savon KO'd the young and reckless Tua with a punch he didn't see coming. As a professional he employed a more patient style, tucking his chin, bobbing & weaving, rolling with the punches and not leaving himself exposed to counter punches.
true, Mccaullum was knocked out by a cuben who ray leaonrd beat in the 1976 games. have you seen footage of it?

Drink vitams, neck excersizes, work out, drink milk. Whatesle can you do, pus if you get hit a lot you become hard, I qould quess.
Interesting......Marlon Wilson who has one of the greatest chin ever said neck weights are a big part of his regime and this is why he has a cast iron chin!
