Like i said it's more likely that this was a one time thing because I don't think Margarito is out there picking and choosing which fights he is going to use plaster in. Your accusation has small merit. I was not really aware of Jones having been accused of steroids, but it's controversial in that I read somewhere it may have been otc stuff and not 'illegal'. Shane Mosely has been quoted as saying that the plaster was only used to Protect Margarito's hands. Emmanual Steward has been quoted as saying the same thing as Mosely and Paul Williams was quoted as saying that Margarito did not have plaster on his hands when he fought him 3 years ago. So why is it that Puerto Ricans are the only ones making excuses? I am a garden variety white guy...and Cotto is one of my all time favorite boxers. He and RJJ are just awesome and fun to watch.

marg cheated for sure in two fights i know this to be fact. mabye more fights. the second time he fought cintron he used them. and he without question used them for cotto. ive been around boxing for a long time. i know the sound a punch makes when it lands. the pitty pat punches marg was landing on cintron and cotto should not have made that sound or had that effect. margarito should be banned for life.

I was a huge Margarito fan until the plaster thing. The accusations against him regarding previous use of plaster may be unwarranted, but he chose to play with fire, so he gets what he deserves. See now this is a reasonable and logical opinion!! If you hate Margarito hate him for what he "did" instead of just making up unwarrented accusations to make excuses for your flawed fighters.

There's different factors that you have to take into account like Paul Williams wouldn't be able to tell if Margarito used it Because Paul Williams didn't get hit as much as Cotto did. Cotto really started getting rocked in round 6 trough 11 by then if Margarito indeed cheated the plaster would have hardened enough to do damage cause it needs to get wet look at how fast Cotto's face got swollen. Paul Williams keeps his distance and is big enough to avoid getting hit like that. And why would Margarito attempt to wear plaster for the Mosley fight and not the Cotto fight which is the most important fight of his Career. If were going to listen to what crossed eyed Emmanuel Steward or Balco Mosley say's then lets listen to what Mayweather and other boxers including mexicans has said about Margarito calling him a disgrace and a cheater.
