Duran would beat Mayweather in their primes at 135. Too strong for him. Mayweather would have won some rounds and it may well be close but in the end Duran just is too relentless for Floyd.
i'm not one of those guys who always picks an old-ish timer against floyd or any other active fighter. but i think duran could put the pressure on floyd and decision him. 7 rounds to 5. most of floyds rounds would be in the early going before durans stamina starts to surface.
Stylistically you would have to say Floyd matches up well with Duran......but Duran was more intelligent in the ring than he gets credit for........you would have to say Duran takes this one....
Are you seriously saying hes a better over all fighter than Floyd? Im not sure what your point is and thats not a shot just Im confused.
I personally think he was.
I think he could at least compete with the bolded...haven't seen enuff Benitez
Hagler's too big and if Hearns lands a right hand it could be serious trouble...
Floyd would probably compete at 140...
compete sure and be competitive..but win..I just dont see it.
People Castillo was Chavez sparing partner..Lets not compare him to Duran, and SRL and PBF have to totally different styles. If you were to take PBF and put him in the 80's..I dont see him beating Duran, SRL, Hagler, Hearns or Benitez. All these dudes would beat him.

Everybody here thinks the shoulder roll is the new invincible move like in a video game.
It was the same thing with how everybody was saying "check hook" 43,000 times after the Hatton fight like they knew what they were talking about.
It's like the new answer in jeopardy.
Well duran would give him different angles and hes got solid power in both hands. He can throw some heavy and accurate combinations too.
Answer: Shoulder roll.
If me, a 155 pounder, can take 1000 shoulder shots from a beast 220 pound(My sparring partner) brolic as hell. I'm sure Floyd's huge ass shoulders can take shots from a LW-WW.
Take the shoulder shots and throw in some shots to the liver, shots on the hip, and dirty tactics...
And something I didn't see someone point out...Duran wasn't easy to hit...he could box and make you miss...
Its all fair though...you can think Floyd would beat Duran...I think he could possibly at 147...but no man is winning easily...
But if Floyd stands in the pocket at 135-154 against Duran he will be pissing blood at the end of the night...
Such a well-rounded boxer choosing to fight a fighter. Mayweaher would NEVER do that, he would never try to fight a puncher.
Thing is I don't know if Duran would give him a choice...Hatton made him fight, Castillo made him fight...Duran most definently would...and Duran is leaps and bounds better than either one of them...
If Floyd managed to win he wouldn't feel like a winner at the end of the night...
Floyd's shoulder roll would frustrate Duran in the pocket.
Kev, you get hit enough times in that shoulder your gonna feel it...most guys look confused when Floyd shoulder rolls...Duran will be mixing up the body work if Floyd stands in front of him...Duran would be the most ruthless body puncher Floyd would ever see...
Standing in the pocket would be suicide...
