after watching last night how aerolla had some success..I have come to the conclusion that iron mike in his prime or even after jail would have killed vitali..the head movement the speed the punching power and the great shape he always came to fight in .. it would have been like dempsey willard..tyson jumps on you fast and vitali looked scared when aerolla tried to jump on him
there's no person on Vitali's resume that says he can handle the constant pressure and HEAD MOVEMENT that a prime Mike Tyson was capable of!!....NOT one dude!!!.....Lewis fought a phone booth fight with Vitali and used very little head movement......a prime Mike Tyson was a MASTER at gettin' inside and causing damage!!......his speed is something Vitali has NEVER seen the likes of!!......Tyson is no myth......some may want to think so......but Tyson in his prime was as REAL as they come!!!.....:boxing:
vitali is arguably the worst heavyweight champion ive ever seen.he is stiff, not fluid.has no technique whatsoever in his punches, and has the style of somebody who plays football trying to fight.I don't know how the hell he has made it this far.must be the calibre of oppo
Jealous Hater....

SIKE... Vitali is like a foot taller and a much, much longer reach. Vitali is simply to big, tall, long, And powerful for Tyson plus vitali moves well and has underrated stamina for a man his size. "He uses his height extrememly well',Emmanuel stewart.
You don't know much about Vitali if you think that. Watch some of his previous fights if you can. Lewis, who probably hit harder than Tyson wasn't able to do it and nailed Vitali with some huge bombs.
I think you are just deceived by Vitali's kind of goofy style. If he was some unknown or with little experience and I saw him fight, I would think the same thing as you, but after watching almost everyone of his fights for almost a decade, I don't think Tyson could do it.
Co-sign. Being American I didn't get an opportunity to watch all of Vitali's early fights, but thanks to youtube, I've seen a lot.
Prime Tyson vs. prime Vitali - Vitali would have been too much for Mike. He's all wrong for him stylistically. Also the big size advantage Vitali holds over Mike.
Vitali wouldn't have been intimidated like Mike's other opponents, and has the size and speed to box Tyson before eventually stopping him.
If you think Vitali has decent footwork now for such a large man, watch some of his fights when he was in his prime; opponents rarely land on him because of his footwork and size (he's great at leaning back to avoid shots), but in the rare case an opponent does land, he has an iron chin.
Vitali's jab alone would have been in Mike's face all night long. Mike would have the speed to get inside early, but Vitali is strong and smart enough to tie Tyson up. Mike would have his will beat out of him by the mid to later rounds, and his energy would be gone. He wouldn't be trying to get inside like he would have early on in the fight.
I've been a believer in Vitali's chin ever since Lewis was teeing off on it with full power shots. Sanders too.
Vitali; too big, too strong, too much of a reach advantage, and enough boxing IQ to stop Tyson.

Those stats mean nothing. Do you really care that much about your boxingscene stats? I love boxing and this is the best site for it IMO. I don't need your signature to stay or go. Just you reverting to racial slurs and internet web stats would lead any rational person to the conclusion that you are an idiot. Plain and simple.
LOL. You were the tool who called for him to be IP banned because he started this thread. Go fuk yourself you cunt.
On topic, I have to disagree. VK would have had the chin and the toughness to weather Tyson's early storm then he would have worn him down and stopped him late. Vitali is just a beast.
Not in my opinion. This is just the Tyson myth. A myth that died in Japan in 1989, and was never reborn - other than in the minds of Tyson fans.
It was february 11, 1990 not 1989
Saw Tyson's greatest hits two nights ago. I have to say prime Mike Tyson. Look at the head movement, the speed, the power. Vitali would have thrown the jab, Tyson would duck it, go to the body and then finish with his famous uppercut. I say Tyson>Vitali. Seems to be the case in Fight Night Round 4 as far as I can tell.
u could have a million post's ur not makin sense if could of would of tyson never won a rematch never fought bowe never beat holyfield and who the **** is seldon ,smith berbick look up there records before fighting tyson ,klitschko has the highest ko ratings against similar mediocre opposition ,tyson is mentally weak watch all of his fight's where he had to go the distance people boooin him man u reaaly need to wake up the next thing u will start talkin about roy jones jr !!!!!!tyson ain't killin shit biggest draw youngest heavyweight as a champion he is shit !!!!!
I don't see how Tyson wins. He couldn't cope with an inferior version of Vitaly called Buster Douglas. Tyson nuthuggers will tell you if he had Rooney is his corner he would have beaten Douglas: maybe, maybe not. But what isn't in doubt is Vitaly is a league above Douglas in every department. On that basis Tyson does no better than Arreola last night and probably gets stopped earlier.
Tyson could win this because of one factor, speed. Vitali has a heavy jab yes, but its slow as hell and that habit of holding his hands/arms below his beltline could cost him dearly. Arreola just did it all wrong, he tried to force his way in and got blasted, no headmovement whatsoever.
I know Vitali isnt prime anymore, but yeah, he would whip up on Buster Douglas, but IDK about the Buster Douglas who fought tyson, Arreola stood right in front of Vitali, he should of kept him turning.
But then again Arreloa would of gassed himself, I knew he was going to lose looking the way he did, those power punches Vitali hit him made his face and other parts of his body jiggle.
shut the fukk up
Tyson was an overrated mental midget with no heart, he got KTFO 6 TIMES.
Prime 4 Prime...Vitali would KO Tyson

are you kidding.. vitali didint even look that good against areolla who is 50 pounds over wieght..he should only be about 200 lbs
Vitali fired 800 punches and landed 53% of his power punches. He fired twice more than Floyd and was almost as precise as Floyd. How can you be better than this? You can be better only if you double Floyd's punch output and maintain Floyd's precision. So I think you might be a little biased... but we all are in one way or another.
I like Tyson a lot, but I simply stated my honest opinion: Vitali was never knocked down -- in his boxing and kick boxing career -- and he is superb boxer who was winning on scorecards every boxing match he participated in (even the ones he lost). So I think yes Vitali would beat up Mike Tyson badly and either KO him or make him give up. I may well be wrong, but who can't be?
Was never convinced by Tyson. I mean, people take a dump on the likes of Calzaghe, or Mayweather over the standard of opponent and then two posts later they're working themselves into a creamy lather over Tyson - who didn't get close to meeting and beating a prime Foreman, Frazier, Liston, Ali, Norton etc.
The truth is Tyson capitalised on a very weak HW division whilst some very clever marketing people played him like a puppet. From the very beginning he was a mental screwup. Everybody close to him knew that. Just as they knew it wouldn't be long before an opponent uncovered the big lie in the ring: Tyson was terrified of being bullied.
He'd have been on the end of a Lewis-esque beatdown. Standing pitifully in the middle of the ring whilst Vitali pummelled him from head to foot and all the time thinking - "I deserve this".
As for the assertion that Lewis hits harder than Tyson. As far as the full range of punches go I can't guess, but I know one thing: The only HW who threw a harder uppercut than Lewis was Foreman.
the Tyson that fought Spinks would've beaten ANYBODY including Vitali!! :boxing:
