No matter what you think about the fight, answer these questions in a real way.
Note that I want to start off every question by saying "size aside" because we all know about the size thing. I want to really know the answer to these questions because alot of people were claiming this before the fight, even writers, and even people who thought Floyd would kill JMM. Again, this is not a hate thread. You may genuinely feel that way. Im asking because I havent seen the fight to tell myself. Most people had both these guys ranked far and away the best in the sport at all these catagories and alot of people thought JMM was better than Floyd at alot of them. Do you still beleive that?
1- Do you still think JMM is more skillful
2- Do you still think JMM is smarter
3- Do you still think JMM is better techniqaly
4- Do you still think JMM is more well rounded or complete
5- Do you still think JMM is "P4P" better, would beat Floyd if they fought at LW, or would beat Floyd if they were the same size
6- Do you still think JMM is better at making adjustments
7- Do you flat out still think that if all things were even, JMM would be a better fighter then Floyd, period
Who are these "alot of people"? Can you post the examples? you said "alot" so I'm expecting polls show significant evidence, not just 3-4 JMM fans.
When you can only count as high as the number of fingers on your hand,
3-4 is alot.
Mayweather's 5 inch arm reach advantage and his incredible speed and reflexes proved to be too much for JMM. If JMM was the same weight and same height and same length of arms he would still have trouble with Mayweather's speed, although he would have certainly done better than what he did that night.
I'd answer no to all your questions but let me ask you a question.
Has Floyd fought the best fighters in his weight class like Juan has?
Let me answer that with an infatic no he hasn't.
I give floyd all the credit in the world for outclassing a Hall of fame fighter but I wont give him the kind of credit he wants to be given because Hall of famer or not he was still fighting a blown up lightweight that was fighting 3 divisions higher than he should have.
Would you say the same for Pavlik vs Hopkins?
Not exactly, but somewhat ; "Team Pavlik" wanted Bernard, not the other way around.
Say what you want about "Marquez called out Floyd!" all you want but we all know he was only half serious with that ; he was merely doing it to get digs in on Manny because Freddie Roach was calling Floyd out as well.
And while the weight probably effected Pavlik's performance, he was roughly the same size as Bernard even in the ring on fight night.
Whereas Marquez looked like Floyd's adopted Mexican child.

Before the fight i only heard everyone saying Floyd was better at everything.
Floyds style and skill means he doesnt usually have to make adjustments. He gets his opponents to fight his fight.
He doesnt need to brawl on the inside because he never gets in that situation.
And no for everything else.
The main question about that matchup was 'Is Floyd a little rusty, and if JMM gives a miraculous performance can he give Floyd trouble?'
Another question surrounded whether Floyd could walk through JMM and KO him.
The fight went as most people thought it would.
We've already established the answers to all of this ; No, no, no, no, no, no, and no.
Floyd is just better than Marquez.
But that doesn't change the fact that it was a bitch move to pick on a Lightweight, and that Marquez would've made a better account of himself at a lower weight.
