all you guys understimate the amount of mexicans who bought the fight(im assuming alot of you are east coasters)In cali where i am to N.mexico where my dad is to texas where my cousins live..all the same in the latin (mainly mexican) community everyone was watching this fight some way or the other! i am not mexican soy perunao..but ill admit and so does any census that they are the majority of the latinos (whatever that means) in this country are mexican decent and dont forget latinos will be the majority soon if not already so yah marquez(mexican) vs floyd (every1 wants to see if he finally gets his ass kicked) = 800k and above buys at least! :boxing:
As a boxing fan I hope the PPV made more than 800K buys but if you factor in the economy and fight was shown in theaters it might affect the overall PPV perfromance of the bout.

This article was 4 hours ago, I call bullshit on TS.
That same article claims that Marquez was only paid $2 million for the fight, which is way off. He was paid $4 million - $800k of which went to Golden Boy. But he also cleared another $600k for Mayweather missing weight, which means he clears $3.8 million (plus the $800k to GBP)
And while Schaefer is probably more trustworthy than, say Bob Arum, I still take any promoter's prediction with a grain of salt.
That said, I'd be shocked if this fight did less than 500k. Even in a down economy, Floyd's name alone should still be worth at least that much.
Floyd vs Mosley/Cotto would outdo that fight too, its down to the opponent i mean if Marquez/Floyd gets anywhere near Cott/PAC. Well it just proves Floyd is very good draw given him and Marquez was hyped as a mismatch and between 2 counter punchers..

i have a bet with Horus that it didn't do more than 500K
I think you may lose that bet if the talk about the fight the next day is any indication. Poeple who I didn't even know liked boxing were talking about it. We will see.
They don't want Floyd to do more buys with JMM than Pac did.
Floyd faught JMM after getting the De La Hoya "bump" Manny Pacquiao fought him pre-de la hoya bump so the numbers dont reflect or mean anything.
Itsgood news for boxing IMO that sunday a lot of people were actually talking about the fight. The same thing happened for Pac/Hatton. I hope the numbers reflect that.
Even though a high percentage of Pacquiao fans said, "Don't buy Mayweather vs Marquez". Even though this match up wasn't too appealing to most. I'm gonna say 600K would be a sucess.

Marquez had 449550 buys. mayweather had 450.
98% of the buys is Marquez support.
I think so too 'cause most of the Mayweather fans streamed the fight in the internet. :lol1:
bwahahahahahahaha
Mayweather come up on fight night at 161.
Thats supermiddleweight.
Funny thing is nobody knows how much he weighed, anyway what happened to you saying that JMM was gonna beat Floyd cause he is a hype job?
