Cuz if he thinks he's hot shit he can be in this position as well...

If it goes down he will be decisively picked apart and beaten by Mr. Mayweather...
And there's nothing Freddie Roach or his fans can do about it...
A few reasons why Pacquiao would fare better.
1) Pacquiao is younger, faster and stronger than Marquez at this weight.
2) Pacquiao actually moves his head and does not stand in front of his opponents waiting to get pick apart by the best potshotter in the game. I understand that Marquez is a counter puncher but waiting on Mayweather for anything is just asking for it.
3) Pacquiao's a southpaw. He's got a nasty lighting right hook counter which is a punch Mayweather's been hurt with by both Corely and Judah. He's also got a crafty lead straight hand that should give Mayweather fits.
One more. Pac has gained weight, up to Jnr Welterweight, at least, without losing speed or power or timing, and without looking physically weaker than his opponents. He is now a natural Jnr Welterweight.
Marquez, by contrast, has lost a considerable amount of speed and timing as he has put on weight, and he looked physically weaker than his opponents even at Lightweight, and looked much weaker, physically than Floyd. He is still a natural Super Featherweight.
Huge difference, between fighting a natural Super Featherweight, and a natural Jnr Welterweight.

It might be a secret in boxing that Floyd struggles with Southpaws. I can't say for sure, but there's something to it.
I think Pacquiao gives Floyd the toughest fight of his career, TBH. The last time Floyd didn't have a huge edge in Handspeed was the Judah fight, who is also a Southpaw, and Zab did very well early in that fight. Floyd has been fighting guys who he can simply dominate with his speed and IQ for the last 3 years. This would not be the case against Manny, at least in speed. I don't believe for a minute that Floyd would be able to pick him apart at will and dominate him easily.
I would favor Mayweather to win, but it will not be easy. I wouldn't be shocked if Manny pulled it out.
I agree with you completely. zab did good early and pac doesnt gas. but just so you know you used facts and rationally stated why you believe something instead of resorting to name calling so no ones gunna look at this post and take you serouisly

i gotta say its stupid that people say mayweather could beat pac just based on the fact that he beat marquez. dont get me wrong, i think may could beat pac, but not just because of marquez. jmms best attributes are all skills that pbf has but only better. pac is a south paw, hes fast, has power, and has a crazy pace. i gotta say if this fight happened two months ago and pac just kod hatton like he did everyone would be saying pac could win because everyone just seems to remember what just happened.
should i have said fight instead of show you stupid fukk so you wouldn't get confused. This shows how long you been around the sport you retarded piece of poop. show in the form used is verbly used by a lot of boxing experts .
Why try WWf when we got Gayweather in the sport.
Wouldn't have made any difference if you'd said "fight" - if you're only interested in boxing as entertainment as not as a sport then it isn't for you, and no amount of childish name calling will change that.
the whole Pacquiao camp just like the media and most people are over looking Cotto. When did Pacquiao overlooked Cotto? Pacquiao said Cotto will be his most dangerous opponent yet. Most media on other hand said it will likely be Pacquiao over Cotto because they knew what Pacquiao is capable of doing so same as what they have expected for Mayweather to do to Marquez.
:boxing:
Plus I believe that the whole Pacquiao camp just like the media and most people are over looking Cotto.
The two people in the whole world who are furthest away from overlooking Cotto are Roach and Pacquiao. They know what a dangerous fight it is, and have both said repeatedly that it is by far the toughest fight of his career so far. It's the media and the fanboys and the Cotto haters who are overlooking Cotto - but not Pacquiao and not Roach.
all i gotta say if mayweather beat marquez that decisively then there is no way pacquiao can beat floyd...if marquez was able to outclass manny with his skills just imagine wat mayweather would do...im a marquez fan too
I know this for a fact... Cotto Pac will be a better show than what we saw last night. No matter who wins!!
Boxing is a sport, not a theatre performance. If all you want is entertainment, at the expense of the sport, try WWF, boxing isn't for you.
Pacquiao is exciting and a great warrior but I don't see him beating Mayweather. Mayweather is still quicker with faster reflexes than Pacquiao.
Even with Pacquiao's quick hands, Mayweather will still counter him all night and aggressive fighters like Pacquiao don't usually finish the fight against Mayweather. I just see Pacquiao getting caught rushing in late in the fight and finishing the fight on his back with the ref waving the fight off.
I honestly don't see Pacquiao surviving Cotto to even get to a Mayweather fight though.
Pacquiao is a great fighter and how can't you be a fan of such a warrior but I think he has bitten off much more than he can chew with Cotto. Plus I believe that the whole Pacquiao camp just like the media and most people are over looking Cotto.
PAC doesnt underestimate his opponents...he trains hard and doesn't give a fukk...if he loses, he thinks god wanted it that way....that's how ring warriors roll
True..his opponents underestimate him...who will not? Pacquiao even looks more vulnerable in person.
inside the ring is a different story.
pshhh everyone is overlooking Cotto. Cottos gonna KO Pac as well
People are certainly overlooking Cotto. I think pac-Cotto is a pick 'em fight if ever there was one, and Cotto ought to be be the narrow favourite to win.
Cuz if he thinks he's hot shit he can be in this position as well...

I think Mayweather would win a competitive UD, but I seriously believe that Pacquiao would bring the best out of him.
And that's all of I've ever wanted to see from the Floyd.
That's what Floyd has wanted his opponents to do also.
Last guys to do it were Ndou, Chop, Gatti, Corrales, Judah, and Hatton.
I've no doubt Manny can press the fight better than Marquez did, but I also think he'll be frustrated after a few rounds when can't find a way to land on Floyd effectively.
Would love to see that fight happen, but I have doubts it will.
